After the second debate between Mitt Romney & President Obama the death threats pour forth against Mitt Romney. The theme being, if Romney wins, Romney dies. Real nice!
"Kill Romney", remember the memo sent by member of DNC?
The Internet is ripe with story's of how there will be riots if Romney wins, a threat against the nation. The 'riot threats' are an effort to influence the course of the election. The 'death threats' are more of the same. There are people out there like John Wilkes Booth's, they are few & far between.
The current administration, especially the Attorney Generals Office (Eric Holder) has been restrained in following up on certain types of threat. In plain English, black on white crime gets a pass as long as a body does not hit the sidewalk. A message has been sent by the AG that certain types of 'hate crimes' are OK. The New Black Panthers Party (NBPP) efforts to intimidate voters is a prime example. Ditto Trevon Martin case where NBPP put a bounty on a man's head in Florida.
If violence occurs in the streets after a Romney election victory, the Obama administration, Holder in particular will have blood on his hands. I am sure a President Romney will be safe as long as the Secret Service is not doing hookers while on duty.
In your face (Biden at debate) may be entertaining to some but it sends a bad message to those with certain proclivities.
I have a suggestion I hope someone will pass on to the Romney & Obama campaigns. Let there be a cool down period one for a week before Election Day. Suspend all advertising that can be controlled by the candidate. Limit public exposure to in person appearances. This would send a message to all Americans, time to get your emotions under control.
Time to stop cursing the darkness (the other candidate) & light a candle for America. The light of freedom is being extinguished in many places in the world ("The lights are going out all over Europe" Sir Edward Gray, 1914). Lets not add America to the list of nations living in darkness.
PS In Italy, a country many Americans laugh at has a 'cool down' law. Maybe we should stop laughing at other people & learn from them.
