Page 1 of 1 ROTTERDAM — A 44-year old man was arrested and charged with trying to rob a gas station on Sunday.
Police said a man with a knife entered the Getty gas station, 3060 Broadway, around noon and demanded money. But the clerk fought him and the man fled the store on foot.

The rpd did a great job....AFTER.....it was an by-stander that saw that this guy had parked his car in dunky donuts. It was the by-stander that had all the info. At least that's what was reported thru the media.

Great job store clerk! He didn't sit there like cattle waiting for slaughter. He stood up and protected his property from the thief. I've been to that Getty, if it was the owner, I believe he is a first generation immigrant. He wasn't indoctrinated to stand there and piss his pants until the thug is done robbing him, then call the "authorities"(if you survive) to report the crime.
