It's all part of the job. They accepted pawn status. Sacrifices are made to justify future actions, or to achieve other political goals. Being outraged is the desired government approved response. This would reduce opposition to drones or other US atrocities.

Personally, I think that Obama's and Clinton's behavior was treasonous. He no longer has the credibility to serve as president and she no longer has the credibility to be considered as a candidate for president.
