Nice fantasy piece from an organization dedicated to Social Security

77 years ago, this program was NEVER intended to be as big as it is today.
It was the government and Democrats that convinced people that SS is, and should be their main retirement income.
They say the system is healthy, but provide no facts to back it up. I guess all the news about the trust fund going broke in 25 years or so is just fantasy also.  ...Obama's continuation of Bush's SS tax cuts just makes things worse.
Since we have more people on other government programs and less in the workforce, the only way to save SS is to do two things...Increase SS taxes and/or reduce benefits for those that have "other" retirement income... in other words, a means test... where people who were responsible and put away $$ for their retirement, instead of buying the most expensive house or car they could afford, will get screwed again.

Former Rep. Tom Reynolds (R-NY), who chaired the NRCC from 2003-2006, told The Hill
that he sees in this election shades of President Bush's fight to create a voucher program for Social
Security which cost the GOP seats in 2006.

Said Reynolds: "You saw what happened to Bush with Social Security in the 2006 election.
This is déjà vu.

Without Social Security 44% of Americans would live in poverty... for some, SS is their only source of
income.

Before Social Security existed, about half of America's senior citizens lived in poverty. Today, less than
10 percent live in poverty.

The Romney/Ryan plan is to 'privatize' Social Security and cut grandma off from her benefits...

Here's a question for you, for those that Social Security is their only source of income, over the past 77 years, how much money has been stolen out of their paychecks to pay for others?  And how much of a savings / retirement / nestegg would they have been able to put away if they had received that money when they earned it?  How much sooner would they have paid off bills and started to put away money for retirement if they hadn't saved it in the first place?  It's a Ponzi Scheme that Bernie Madoff would be proud of.

Look for yourself...
Before SS 50% in poverty...
After SS 9%.
When you look at the numbers that show Social Security recipients who have SS as their ONLY source of
income, the large majority of them are elderly women.

I aspire to live on Social Screwme. I only went to high school so that is my ultimate goal in life some day. I wish to be part of the masses and be dumb, with grease under my nails, and listen only to the union boss.

Alex Jones of Infowars.com???

Is this the same Alex Jones who was selling the conspiracy theory that "the govt was responsible for the
Oklahoma City bombing?  That Alex Jones?
And the same Alex Jones who promoted the "true" story that the US government was involved in the
Sept 11th attacks on the World Trade Center?

  That Alex Jones?

Grandma has a message for Romney/Ryan:

SS is based on a fiat system....sure the commune style of living(of which I partake) requires 'safety nets' but it's value
and the definition of poverty is given by those who want votes....

value is in what each person deems as valuable to them individually....

the family cut off grandma(another kind of label) that society removed from the land.....it's all pink goo....

remove the man from the land make him dependent on systems that really becomes the 'atleast' for votes....

1ben·e·fit noun \ˈbe-nə-ˌfit\
1
archaic : an act of kindness : benefaction
2
a : something that promotes well-being : advantage
b : useful aid : help

Definition of BENEFIT

transitive verb
: to be useful or profitable to
intransitive verb
: to receive benefit
— ben·e·fit·er  noun

so someone else is in charge of benefiting you.....to their presumption of value of course....and it's never enough
fish.....they took the fishing pole from you

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
