I don't see this making any major jumps in motivation for Romney's campaign, most will see it as desperation in trying to bring together the more conservative side over, but even with this choice Romney failed

I wonder if many Americans were waiting to see if the Mitt could pull off a 'game change' with his choice for VP...
Ryan was a 'safe bet' and hardly the candidate to change anyone's mind.

The Romney/Ryan plan will be a TAX INCREASE FOR MOST AMERICANS AND A TAX CUT FOR THE RICH...
Kinda like GWB huh!
Romney/Ryan will follow the typical failed Conservative dogma... cut taxes on the rich, increase military spending,
kill planned parenthood, gut medicare, and eliminate medicaid, phase out social security, oppose gay marriage,
overturn Roe VS Wade, starve grandma and kick little kids and babies off of welfare.  Nothing New here...
...it's the same old same old.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

same of the sameness....no one is starving grandma except for grandmas family....as for little kids/babies same applies
hard times are one thing but lifestyle is another....yup..same old same old human society....let me make my neighbor
do it for me....go to college because you don't want to get callouses and you want to be in charge....but don't forget
to have all that good rhetoric about how everyone should donate what they can then say it's not enough because
I give more so everyone else should too.....yup...the sameness from both ends of the candle....

feel warm and fuzzy?

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Rep. Paul Ryan  can appear on the ballot "as both a candidate for the House and for vice president. If
the Romney-Ryan presidential ticket is not successful, but he wins his congressional race, Ryan can
keep his seat. If the national ticket wins the White House and Ryan holds his House seat, a special
election would be held to replace him in the House."

Ryan risks nothing by running as Mitts VP.  When Romney loses, Ryan will still be a re-elected congressman.

At least Romney can't be accused of balancing the ticket.  He may as well cloned himself.  He's a young neo-con shaped and molded by the likes of Karl Rove.  I don't know if he could have picked anybody less exciting.

Ryan wants to give the wealthy even bigger tax cuts than Romney does
(Washington Post)
Here’s the difference between Mitt Romney’s and Paul Ryan’s tax plans: Romney would bring taxes for
top incomes down to 28 percent, while Ryan would bring the top rate down even lower, to 25 percent.
Meanwhile, Ryan’s plan would actually increase the effective tax rate on the very poorest Americans
by getting rid of tax breaks that benefit low earners.

If you make less than $30,000 you'll pay more!

Box, the poorest of Americans don't federal income tax.  Taxing them $1 would be a tax hike.

The Ryan budget would get rid of tax breaks that benefit low-income Americans, including expansions
of “the Earned Income Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit, and American Opportunity Tax Credit...
I'm sure that many on this board qualify for these  tax reductions.
Taking away Child Tax Credits would mean many who pay no taxes or low taxes now, would pay more.

I'm starting to believe our votes don't even mean anything, I don't believe Romney really won the nomination, where was his supporters, how many people do you know personally who liked Romney, I don't know 1. The only person I know who likes Romney here is DVOR and not to be mean but that doesn't say much
