Here we go- there has to be politics interjected again by the left wing.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Too bad all of the folks in that movie theater wasn't carrying their own gun! The guy would have never gotten as far as he did. If all folks were allowed to carry hand guns, this wacko nut job would have been thinking twice before doing what the did.  the 99.9% of the honest american folks, if they were allowed to carry hand guns, this kind of bullcrap wouldn't be happening.

FUNNY!  Can you picture what it would look like in a dark  theater full of NRA trigger happy armed Coloradans?

The shooter would probably kill one or two before the barrage of "can't wait to shoot a bad guy" gun nuts
started blastin'.

Final score...
Nut case -  kills 2 wounds 1...
The NRA gun nuts -  47 dead, 98 wounded, and 5 missing!

AMC Bans Masks, Fake Weapons In Theaters
July 20, 2012 3:41 PM

CHICAGO (CBS) — A movie theater chain with a large footprint in Chicago is now banning face-covering masks and fake weapons inside their movie houses nationwide.

The decision comes after the Colorado movie theater massacre. A total of 12 people were killed and 59 wounded during a midnight showing of “The Dark Knight Rises.”

“At this time, our show schedules circuit-wide will not change,” AMC said in a statement. “We will not allow any guests into our theaters in costumes that make other guests feel uncomfortable and we will not permit face-covering masks or fake weapons inside our buildings.”......................>>>>.....................>>>>.................http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2012/07/20/amc-bans-masks-fake-weapons-in-theaters/

Question here.......how the hell did this guy acquire full BODY ARMOR???

And there is the problem, bumble.

He had on full body armor...So, as I said in another thread, even if people were armed it wouldn't have made a difference since nothing would have been able to penetrate it (No bumble, most people don't carry .44 Desert Eagle hand cannons )

Think of the 'North Hollywood Shootout'

Why does America obsess over rationalizing irrational behavior?  We think we can correct irrational behavior by rationalizing it by passing new supposedly rational laws or regulations.  It must give people some sense of control of the irrational world around them.

It continues to amaze me that we continue to fire missiles into sovereign countries killing innocent women and children, and we rationalize it as a reality of some war against some unseen threat thousands of miles away, with no feeling of sorrow or outrage.  Maybe if we bombed a movie theater in Pakistan filled with Pakistani children watching the new Batman movie, Americans would be as outraged as they are about the Colorado massacre.

...And we still wonder why we have such a violent society.

The only thing that could have stopped this maniac would have been a high powered rifle.

Some don't want us to arm ourselves, instead they believe the police can protect us from the bad people. There is a saying, "when seconds count police are only minutes away".

Two days ago, Associated Press had the opportunity to share the facts for comparison.  Unfortunately, they opted to publish a story containing only half of the story (i.e., that at least 314 U.S. soldiers died in Iraq during 2008, down from 904 in the previous year).

Yesterday, the folks at the Chicago Tribune had a similar chance.  Unfortunately, their article that appeared in yesterday’s edition also included only half of the story (i.e., that the Windy City closed 2008 with 509 homicides, an increase of about 15 percent over 2007).
