Egypt Election Results: Mohammed Morsi, Muslim Brotherhood Candidate, Announced President
By The Huffington Post/AP
Posted: 06/24/2012 10:33 am Updated: 06/24/2012 10:28 pm

After days of delay for the results of its presidential runoff, Egypt has announced Mohammed Morsi as the winner of the election and the country's new president, the Associated Press reports.

Morsi, the candidate from the Muslim Brotherhood, faced off with former Prime Minister Ahmed Shafiq after the two candidates collected the most votes in the first round of Egypt's presidential election.

The days leading up to the runoff proved increasingly tense for Egypt, as judges appointed by former President Hosni Mubarak ordered parliament to dissolve, a blow to the democratically elected and Islamist-dominated governing body.

On the heels of the parliament ruling and in the midst of vote counting, Egypt's ruling military issued an interim constitution that seemingly deflated whatever power the next president would have.

Thousands took to the streets in protest as both presidential candidates declared victory early in the week, only to have their battle overshadowed by the announcement by Egyptian state media that Mubarak was "clinically dead." Those reports were later denied, with the official word of the 30-year ruler being on life support.

THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS STORY. READ THE FULL ASSOCIATED PRESS UPDATES BELOW.

CAIRO — Mohammed Morsi was declared Egypt's first Islamist president on Sunday after the freest elections in the country's history, narrowly defeating Hosni Mubarak's last Prime Minister Ahmed Shafiq in a race that raised political tensions in Egypt to a fever pitch.........................>>>>.........................>>>>.................http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/06/24/egypt-election-results-morsi-president_n_1622133.html

I believe that this new leader is a graduate of University of Southern California.
And I also believe that his kids, or one or some....not sure.....are U.S. citizens.

Let's hope Egypt doesn't wage a war against ‘radical Judaism’ like GWB and America waged a war against ‘radical Islam’.

The fact that a terrorist organization now controls the presidency of Egypt is just one more reason that President Obama doesn't deserve a second term.

How is a terrorist organization identified?  If a "terrorist organization" controls the Egypt presidency through democratic means - doesn't that now make them legit, and any violence or covert operations to subvert a government now legal?  Influencing the outcome of a nation’s election is accepted American foreign policy.

The American empire is falling right before our eyes, and people are having trouble handling it.  I have a British friend, and he said he was curious to see how the American psychology would handle the retracting empire.  The same thing happened in Britain when that Empire retracted.  I think denial is the first reaction.

I never said that the election was not legitimate.  I said that the new president of Egypt is a terrorist and that President Obama's foreign policy has led to terrorists taking control of the government of what once was a significant Middle East ally.   As for your statements about the  "American Empire", I am not denying  or disagreeing with your statements.   Although, I don't think that we have reached the "point of no return" in terms of our decline in the international scene -- like the British Empire did just about 100 years ago.

Arming Iraq: A Chronology of U.S. Involvement
By: John King, March 2003
Arming Iraq and the Path to War
A crisis always has a history, and the current crisis with Iraq is no exception. Below are some relevant dates.

This chronology of the United States' sordid involvement in the arming of Iraq can be summarized in this way: The United States used methods both legal and illegal to help build Saddam's army into the most powerful army in the Mideast outside of Israel. The US supplied chemical and biological agents and technology to Iraq when it knew Iraq was using chemical weapons against the Iranians. The US supplied the materials and technology for these weapons of mass destruction to Iraq at a time when it was know that Saddam was using this technology to kill his Kurdish citizens. The United States supplied intelligence and battle planning information to Iraq when those battle plans included the use of cyanide, mustard gas and nerve agents. The United States blocked UN censure of Iraq's use of chemical weapons. The United States did not act alone in this effort. The Soviet Union was the largest weapons supplier, but England, France and Germany were also involved in the shipment of arms and technology.

HILLARY TIED TO NEW MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD PRESIDENT
Radical links run through secretary of state's chief of staff

Published: 2 days ago
by AARON KLEINEmail

Saleha Mahmood Abedin, the mother of Hillary Clinton’s chief of staff, reportedly served in the women’s division of the Muslim Brotherhood alongside the wife of Egypt’s new president, the Brotherhood’s Mohammed Mursi.

WND previously exposed Abedin represented a Muslim charity known to have spawned terror groups, including one declared by the U.S. government to be an official al-Qaida front.

WND also reported Clinton spoke at Abedin’s Saudi women’s college, where she was introduced by Abedin alongside the Islamic activist’s daughter, Huma, who serves as Clinton’s chief of staff. At the speech, Clinton praised Saleha’s “pioneering work.”

Saleha Abedin is also the mother-in-law of disgraced former Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y.........................>>>>......................>>>>.................http://www.wnd.com/2012/06/hillary-tied-to-new-muslim-brotherhood-president/

Not that I like Obama but we were giving billions of dollars in aid to Mubarak who was a dictator to keep friendly with Israel. The same happened with Iran after we ousted their government and installed the Shah, the people rebelled against the puppet regime. Another recent case was Hamas being elected by the people, point being we should of kept our noses out of their business because now it is blowing up in our faces. Obama trying to act as if he supported the Egyptian uprising is a joke and the people there know it.

Proof of what?  That WND is a Right Wing Propaganda Machine, much like FoxSnooze???
Do I really need Proof???

From the WND website, 'about us':
"WND’s editorial policy reflects the old-fashioned notion that the principal role of the free press in
a free society is to serve as a watchdog on government – to expose corruption, fraud, waste and
abuse wherever and whenever it is found.
"

The problem is that "IT'S ONLY FOUND SUPPORTING THE RIGHT WING VIEW!
Even less 'fair and balanced' than FoxSnooze.

Sometimes religious extremists get elected in a democracy, it happens here and in democracy's all over the world all the time. Funny how the same people that say this is a disaster in Egypt are supporting religious fanatic candidates in the US. The people have spoken, let them have their chance prior to judging.
