And when did I say that the oil companies should be getting a dime?

YOU DIDN'T SAY IT!  Your complaint isn't that Americans give their tax dollars away to oil companies...
that isn't on your agenda.
You complained that Americans will be able to get health care.  I would rather spend dollars on AMERICANS,
especially Americans in need of health care, than to piss US taxpayer dollars into the Oil Company Pockets.
(Hence my post)

Your FREE MARKET CAPITALISM included Oil Companies... (they are people too), but excludes American
tax payers who need health insurance.

That's not the system I want...Take the subsidies away from the oil companies too.
Difference is Box, I am not FORCED to buy oil, but Obama wants to FORCE ME to buy health insurance.
Government Force, a truly great totalitarian system.

I would much prefer an OPT OUT for all Republicans so that no part of their tax dollars will go to health
care... and That all Republicans would be excluded from any US Subsidized health care treatment. NONE!

The sight of the first dozen suffering, bleeding and dying Republicans crawling away from the ER because
they have no coverage would be enough to change the system once and for all.

I didn't complain "that Americans will be able to get health care." I complained "that Americans will be forced to pay for health care whether they made a decision to purchase it or not."  If you would rather spend money on AMERICANS, then feel free to purchase a group policy for all those that don't have coverage and pay the premiums out of your own pocket.

As far as the oil companies, the government is the one that has hogtied them to make sure they can't get to the places that it would be easiest and cheapest to get the oil, and instead, decide to send them a check.  Make them work for it just like everybody else, just don't stop them at every turn from getting the job done with rules that you have no right setting.

Free market capitalism also includes car companies, some of which DID receive federal money (GM) and some of which DID NOT (FORD).

...and if you're going to "piss US taxpayer dollars into the Oil Company Pockets," by doing that, aren't you putting money into the pockets of Americans, since you say "Your FREE MARKET CAPITALISM included Oil Companies... (they are people too)?"

In my world of people and politics there are two relevant issues.
~  First, does the law provide better medical care for Americans?
~  And is it reducing the cost of health care?

While the new law will not be fully implemented until 2014, the parts that have been enacted show that
the indisputable, factual answer to both questions is “yes.”
But at the moment, the facts do not seem to matter in the court of public opinion. Republican opposition
remains as solid today as the day the act was signed into law.

Some us us had very good health care plans that we now stand to lose because of Obama-care so why would I want a plan that nobody knows whether or not it will even work or that we can afford to pay for it.

Opting out isn't voluntary participation.  It is a start though.  I'd like to opt out of social security also.  Do you support that too?

Why do you think you'll lose your insurance coverage.  If you now have health insurance, you won't be
effected by obamacare.

I would consider an opt out plan for every group (such as the Amish) who are not covered by SS but have
other old age coverage.

As for Conservatives being able to opt out of SS???
Right Wingers like Cic would all change their mind once they watched the first dozen or so Republicans
starving to death, freezing and homeless, because they 'opted out' of SS.

Consider this... Cic is around 62 or 63 years old... he's opted out of SS and any other Govt plan...
He is all set for retirement... then the George Worst Bush Economic Meltdown wipes out his entire diversified
portfolio.  All of it gone!

Cic with tears in his eyes would be begging at the door... Please Box... Just a crust of bread... I'm starvin'.
Should I give Cic a 'crust of bread' or turn him away from my door???

If you had the last door on earth I wouldn't even CONSIDER asking for a morsel or drink.  Not a chance in hell.

For your information Box, the company is planning on dropping the health care package which we paid for by giving up a large raise in 1973 in liu of the company paying for health care, their idea. The company now wants to dump all the health care coverage and pay a $2000 fine each year per employee because it's cheaper that funding the current health care plans. There are a number of very large companies that are planning to do the same thing and dumping us all into the government pool, almost like a one provider system.

(The embarrassing part for me is   I'd probably feed him.)
Yea... I've heard this sad story before.  Self employed... spent every dime he ever made and lived well...
then cry sob and moan because the govt won't feed him... house him... won't give him ANOTHER small business
loan to help float his extravagance.

Your typical Small Govt Republican.
