TKoza is right....money breeds evil......stand up citizens can riase the bar and get petitions necessary to do anything.....there is a solution to everything...

but people in this Town just sit back and take things in astride.....talk talk talk....but don't want to do the walk....

So, Koza...start the ball rolling....someone has tostart somewhere to make the change for the better.....what have yougot to lose...

prove that this is a democracy......you will have a lot of citizens helping your belief.....and without party affiliations......

Several candidates offered this option to the voters during the last couple elections.  What did the residents of Rotterdam do?  They went with the same ole, same ole.   They'd rather have the glitzy big campaigns and all the baggage that comes with it.   Koza, McGarry, O'Connor -- they were right on....the voters just didn't get it!   And now we keep paying for that hard lesson.

It cost money to advertise. Does anyone think the government-controlled newspaper and media will get your message out for free? Are people still that naive?

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Money is a major factor in campaigning, especially when the news outlets won't cover 'certain' candidates or political parties. But for the folks who won't or can't contribute monetarily........there is always a need for volunteers!!! Volunteering time and talents would save candidates time and money, when trying to get their message out to the electorate.

It is ultimately up to the electorate!!!

Actually the Rotterdam Democratic Party is doing splendidly in the area of fundraising..   People are coming out of the woodwork in droves to donate to a wonderful cause that is moving the town FORWARD --- NOT backwards.

"Return the Democratic Party to it's Pro-Life roots and remove control of it from the Neo-Liberals!

NO

If you look at how the political district system was designed and use it that way, money is not necessary - it takes people with a common belief joining together, gathering signatures for a cause, discussing issues with their neighboors, and citizens excersising the one true power the builders of this nation gave them.  The lazy use their mouth, those with strong desire to see change......vote

Money is indeed necessary. That coming from me may surprise some people. Finding the proper balance of money and who it comes from is a vital aspect to master. I failed in that regard when I ran and I didn't have to. I had access to plenty more money but foolishly spurned it. But I lost for reasons transcending money. Everything else you stated is true if people really want change. Our local results lately seem to indicate they're really satisfied with the status quo. Im not sure people are yet prepared to truly make the hard choices necessary to improve things. I hope the right candidate comes along that is able to change that.

in classes...as there is in political arenas.....so what do you expect.......the rich eroding the poor and getting away with it...

there's no chance for someone to do anything unless they have money.....or know the right people....and they call this DEMOCRACY...
