Boston appeals court finds federal Defense of Marriage Act unconstitutional.
The 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Boston ruled Thursday that the Defense of Marriage Act, which defines marriage as a union between a man and a woman, discriminates against gay couples.
In 2010, a federal judge in Massachusetts declared the heart of the law unconstitutional in two separate lawsuits. The judge found that the law interferes with the right of a state to define marriage.

It will go to the US Supreme Court -- which will toss out the lower courts decision.

My views have not sung "whichever way the wind is blowing". The fact is that you folks A) ASSUME that all Democrats believe one way on issues -- which is absolutely not true and B) spend most of your time making up stuff about other people instead of actually making any attempt to actually listen to and learn about those people.
There are MANY Democrats who disagree with the ultra-liberal agenda being pushed by one wing of our party. But many of them are afraid to speak up -- I am not afraid to speak up.

I don't think this should be a federal mandate. It should be up to each and every state individually. However.....it has become almost impossible for the states to become independent from the feds.
Once FDR finalized the NEW DEAL creation of social security....which allows for spousal/family benefits for all americans...........it left the states with no independent choice/voice.
With some states, it is like two levels of government in opposition of each other regarding gay marriage. Feds approve.....some states don't!!!
