Understandable, but they also have ones that you can program the time on, and 4 or 5 AM is not the lawful 7-9, no matter odd or even day...

Quick search on Amazon.com shows a bunch of them ... a few seconds longer searching and I found one with good reviews for the $

Think about it though.  What a way for the town to help itself.  $100 is still really inexpensive.  Move to Troy and see what I mean.

The town doesn't need help, the residents do.  

Troy is a sh*t hole, maybe there water fees and high taxes keep it that way.  Are you suggesting Rotterdam use the Troy model?

That item doesn't say anything about odd/even days.

To work properly with our odd/even system it must have a calendar built in.

Even if you could find an every other day model if the month has an odd number of days it will need reprogramming on the first of the month.

I want on that I can set it and forget it and not worry.

I thought it would be useful to give a few more details about watering options:

HOW LONG: 0 - 240 minutes with 1 minute interval.

HOW OFTEN: every 6 hours, 12 hours, 1 day, 2 days, 3 days, 4 days, 5 days, 6 days, 7 days.

MANUAL: 0 - 240 minutes with 1 minute interval.



Because some months have 28 / 29 30 / 31 days, nothing is totally set and forget .. so I guess you'll never be satisfied.

Read: you're are defending a law that requires all the residents of Rotterdam to look at a calendar and be able to compare it to their address, in other words, you're making them comply (even though they don't have to, by not watering their lawns) with a law that makes you think, and that's not OK.

holy sh*t.....you go on nd on about sprinklers when the discussion started about rotterdams 25 flat fee for water.Which is not true... you say your the old folks that have been around or a while...you dont know you pay for water nd the 25 bucks isjust another fee.....come on now

Don't you think that down the road it would save both the town and citizens money if they raised the water bill vs. something outlandish like a reval?  I read these bogus news stories...how much was lost on the middleman?  Rotterdam has a resource that is way under priced.  Seems like a no-brainer to me.
