True, but the rules also give specific hours, I think it's 7-9 AM and PM on the days matching, even or odd, with your address. 4 AM is not 7AM-9AM, no matter what day it is, neither is Noon for those who decide to do it in daylight, but we pay $250,000 in overtime per year to let these things slide.
I never water and my lawn looks great. I fertilize three times a year with Scotts granular. I overseed in the fall for any bare spots, and I topically treat broadleaf weeds a few times in the summer where there is a concentration that may spring up. Watering a lawn in these parts is a waste of time.
If there is any one thing any lawn owner needs to do it is fertilize once in the fall.

Sorry, correction to my above post. It's $265,000 for REGULAR overtime, and $65,000 for "holiday" overtime. So, since we have $65,000 for holiday overtime, this weekend, we should see some additional enforcement of laws, right? I'm looking for a bump in the town coffers from the major money they should be bringing in this weekend.

The police have patrolled the town before when it's been dry and water pressure low and handed out tickets to people who were caught watering out of hours including at night. 1st time is a warning second offense results in a ticket.
wow....this thread really shows some true ignorance.....read your bill, depending on the assessment of your home, your water bill could range from 200 bucks tover 6 or 7 the fee is a rent fee....
$25 for unlimited use of water? They could charge $100 annually and it would still be a good deal. I watch people water 24/7. There are people who have well signs in their windows but use their sprinklers hooked up to the town water supply and water when they want. Putting in meters would be expensive, so why not just raise the price. It is still a great deal compared to all other municipalities.
This would be a good way to add revenue and not raise actual taxes.

Plus, watering is unlimited for the other 8 months of the year.

And why are people as myself in older residences grandfathered in? Why shouldn't we be mandated to have a meter put on? (And by the way, it's not old PEOPLE you're going after, it's old HOUSES, you know, like the ones they wanted to rip down to put in the new, flashy, CVS at 4 Corners.)

Commercial metered users only pay $50 for 75,000 gallons.
That's over 200 gallons a day.

Actually, what I was saying is that I am one of those "old people" that you are talking about, and believe me, with the reASSessment that came through not too long ago, I am paying MORE than my fair share, especially when I and the previous owners decided that the house was worth a certain amount, then the town comes through and tells us that we're both wrong, BY 60%. And they keep raising the amount on many different levels a percentage point or 2 each year, just looking to push people out.
