... And The Most Violent States. (No surprises here)
Violence and its aftermath cost the U.S. economy some $460 billion last year. The Institute for Economics and Peace's second annual United States Peace Index, was released on Tuesday.
Most peaceful: Iowa, Rhode Island, Hawaii, Washington N Dakota, Utah, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Vermont, and the most peaceful state, Maine. Maine was ranked first overall because it topped the list of states on three of the five USPI indicators: number of violent crimes, number of police officers and the incarceration rate.
Least Peaceful: Mississippi, South Carolina, Arkansas, Texas, Missouri, Arizona, Florida, Nevada, Tennessee, and the least peaceful state, Louisiana. Regionally, southern states were identified as being the least peaceful, while states in the northeast were most peaceful. The peacefulness of states in the Midwest and West was about equal, with Midwest states being slightly more peaceful.
New York experienced the most significant increase in peace as a result of decreases in violent crime and the homicide rate.

This is one of the most ridiculous threads you posted in recent memory. Does it measure the peace in the 51st state - The Middle East? Not a lot of peace there, just a lot of drones and missile attacks.
BTW, measuring the incarceration rate doesn't measure peace, since many that are incarcerated are due to non violent crime. Incarceration just means you defied state rule and authority, not necessarily violated somebody's personal liberty.
But...As usual, you eat what you are fed, WITHOUT QUESTION.

...and Democrats waging war on Arab Americans? ... Terrorists in Gitmo? ...and the Constitution??? Cicero has such a vivid imagination... he often has a problem discerning between reality and his imagination.
