ROTTERDAM — A Rotterdam teen and a Princetown woman face misdemeanor charges stemming from a party at which an underage girl was served alcohol, State Police in Princetown said.
Anthony Manning, 17, was charged with sexual misconduct and endangering the welfare of a child after troopers on April 10 went to the Princetown home of Gina Skinner, 44, in response to a call about an intoxicated girl. Manning was arraigned in Princetown Town Court and released pending a future court date. He was also ordered to stay away from the victim who was treated at Ellis Hospital.
Skinner was charged with three counts of unlawfully dealing with a child by giving alcohol to a person under 21 and one count of unlawfully dealing with a child. This is nothing new.....been happening for years ,,,,it;s a shame that we have parents who think this choice of providing alchohol to underage kids is ok.
Many teens have participated in activities knowing full well they are committing a crime.....but adults encourage it.....by providing the alcohol or friends of the
teens (over 21) do the same.....they also go to local motels.....and have the wild parties.
The fact that a young teen was a victim of a sexual crime is the ultimate crime.....this has happened much too often and no one reports it...
Thank goodness that someone had the good sense to let the victim's mother know how bad the situation was.
Most of the time partiers just think that someone will "sleep it off"....
And it sounds like all the so called adults have some real problems....besides alcohol, guns and violence????
Evidently, this Princetown home has been disfunctional for some time...
Drinking among teens is a big problem....the schools know it....the cops know it....and yet....the underage parties in the "woods" will go on with police knowledge...
after all it's that time of year....and most have been there and done that in their time....
Most need rehabe by the time they are 16....an obsservation from investigation.....

Thie problem is not the teens as much as it is the parents who are letting this happen and pretend they are helpless to stop it. People don't think it's necessary anymore to spend time with their children, or know what they are doing.

It's never the kids fault It always someone elses fault. Way to start that shirking of personal responsibility early. You can spend all the time you want with your kids, its no guarantee of anything. And you may THINK you know what they are doing, but unless you have a web cam or GPS tracker on them 24/7, you are fooling yourself.

WHy isn't anyone asking why an underage girl is drinking at a party, and how her parents wouldn't know about it. Most likely, it wasn't her first time, and this highschool student is coming home drunk, and her parent(s) aren't doing anything about it. Lets be frank.

Most likely, it wasn't her first time, and this highschool student is coming home drunk, and her parent(s) aren't doing anything about it. Lets be frank.
I agree that 2-3am is a joke, but how about the ones that come home inside curfew? I never violated curfew, but came home after drinking plenty of times right under my parents noses. My kids hardly violated curfew but I am not naive enough to think I know exactly where they were and what they were doing. The one time my oldest boy did violate curfew he was at a friends house playing a new video game and lost track of time...I verified that one. It's not always black and white, if it was, we'd all have "perfect" kids.

BB yes ....but did u end up on ER or in Rehab???......come one....more alcohol than= drugs being used today...oat'f course the age was 18 back then...
maybe that's what needs to change.....can fight for their country...but can't get a legal drink....makes sense???

today....what they are proud to acknowledge.......but their parents don't know.....and no that they are not good parents....they are....

You definately have a point. In my experience (I was one of those kids) we gravitated toward the parents houses where their was no parenting going on, because that is where we could get away with it. It was never a matter of us being bad kids, were were kids, the parents let us run wild... and now with todays lack of discipline imposed from most parents, it gets worse and worse (or maybe we are just more aware)
