The lame stream media played this one like a fiddle. This is nothing more than a 'created' WAG THE DOG that will be just in time for the presidential campaigning and elections. It'll be just like watching American Idol and the sheople will be waiting with baited breath for the next episode!!!

You nailed it, the media loves a good story to get peoples emotions going and it seems they found a winner. If this story wasn't a media pick how many people here would even post about it if they read it on page 10 of the paper or seen a 15 second story of it on the news. Like you said the people just need their fix of a soap opera to have something to talk about.

For a prosecutor to charge 2nd degree murder, he would have to prove malice... not just criminal carelessness.
It would probably been an easy conviction on manslaughter... but 2nd degree takes much more than (how did
you put it)..."a good story to get peoples emotions going", or "people just need their fix of a soap
opera to have something to talk about."

I'm done with thread as well. It was obvious the media was building up there new hit reality show to suck in the ratings, let me know how the season finale ends

Unless something unexpected happens here... I'm done with the Zimmerman/Martin issue also.

Zimmerman has been charged... and will go to trial.  The rest is up to the criminal justice system.

Me too. Now make the charge stick. Tough sell beyond the shadow of a doubt.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz said that the Florida prosecutor "gave a campaign speech" yesterday and that she will "win popularity contests." Dershowitz concluded that "she has a lot of answering to do."

It's not beyond a "shadow of a doubt"... but beyond "reasonable' doubt".

One NEW piece of information...

George Zimmerman, the man who confessed to killing Trayvon Martin, appeared in court Thursday, making
his first public appearance since the shooting. Judge Mark Herr set Zimmerman's formal arraignment for
May 29, with Herr saying he found probable cause to charge Zimmerman.
The affidavit also said "Zimmerman confronted Martin," which contradicts Zimmerman's earlier statements
about the night he shot and killed the 17-year-old.

Sure it does, because its the round peg that fits in the round hole. I had to laugh when she said public pressure did not play a part in deciding whether to charge him. One thing FLA is doing right is giving the jury lesser charges to consider to convict Zimmerman. Manslaughter is one of them. Even the legal experts say she is going to have a hard time proving 2nd degree murder... and with the penalty for 2nd degree murder being life in prison, I wonder if the jury will have a hard time coming back with a guilty verdict.

Manslaughter would have been IMO an easy conviction... She must have thought the evidence was
convincing enough to warrant a 2nd Degree Murder conviction.

Mike Nifong/Duke Rape Case.

Manufactured controversy for political purposes.  Sad.

Elected prosecutors are willing to sacrifice a man's life to satisfy the mob.  Tyranny of the majority or angry minority.

A man's life has already been sacrificed... Trayvon Martin's.

...may as well sacrifice the justice system too.  Makes complete sense.
