The previous post just goes to show that the nayboobs have NO data or FACTS to support their position and have just decided to engage in the same old personal attacks.

So, how do you plan to come up with the taxes that are paid currently by the businesses, both in the sales tax they collect and the amount of money that they pay in land taxes to the school / town / county each year?

The nayboobs don't have any facts to back up their statements and they refuse to accept the facts presented by EXPERTS on this issue and other issues.   That is why the voters have rejected their candidates for town-wide office over and over again --- the residents of Rotterdam are intelligent and see through the nastiness, arrogance and stupidity of the nayboobs.

So this was the guy who had NO problem traveling across town in a few minutes even at rush hour, now wants to spend ten million and knock two businesses OUT of business, and pretty much send TOPS DINER into insolvency by spending a year rebuilding the entire intersection...

THANK YOU.....I recall that same post......

I posted this before, but will include again.  Although it appears would take more real estate to accomplish, this is what an efficient roundabout w/bypass lanes would look like...obviously will speed traffic along more easily and I think could avoid having 2 roundabouts.

I went through last night and it took a good 2 minutes waiting for the light. How horrible.

Why is everyone so much in a hurry.....enoy the moment and don't think about "hassles" in traffic..

I worry more about who is on the road.....and may cause an accident....

Traffic doesn't bother some people....only those that are already planning what to do before they even get there....LOL

Again.......the 5 corners in rotterdam moves traffic quite smoothly. A multi-million dollar roundabout will not change that.  Nor will it solve the issue of rotterdam's two way streets.....TOWNWIDE!!

Rotterdam over developed for it's infrastructure. It is a result of decades of poor planning with no vision.

Rotterdam developed under the guise of 'bringing folks to rotterdam'. Well it succeeded. They are slithering down crane street and coming in from the city in bus loads. SUCCESS!!

when was the last time a resident from Guilderland, Loudonville, Clifton Park or Saratoga came to the great town of rotterdam fo their products/services OR to find a place to live???

Look everyone knows that Ron Seversen is for anything that is costly and that could help to bankrupt the taxpayers into submission. That is who he is but more importantly: The more money it costs, the more he roots for it because his higher ups tell him to so that engineering companies (perhaps A-jello's) and comtrators who donate money to the democrap party can get more work off the embattled taxpayer. But we all saw HIS POST just a few weeks ago that claimed that he can get around town fast with no delay while people were saying traffic was backed up on Curry rd.

Now, after Harry or TJ had a word with him on this project, he was told to come out and push it to convince the "moderate" people like ABetterRotterdam who still have trust in the criminals that run things around here that this should happen.

Of course they have no idea where the $ will come from and what will happen to the businesses there, especially the two that have gas stations that need to be demolished.

In my world, when things are slow, you don't go out and buy a new Cadillac. But leave it to the super-brains of government bureaucracy to want to drop 10 million plus in a terrible recession... They are "experts."
