Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus made a curious claim on MSNBC today, alleging that Wisconsin
is a state “that was absolutely riddled with voter fraud.”
The problem?
A recent study by the nonpartisan Brennan Center for Justice found just seven cases of voter fraud out of three
million votes cast
in Wisconsin during the 2004. (a fraud rate of 0.0002%)
All seven of these cases involved persons with felony convictions who weren’t eligible to vote after being released
from prison.

I personally would like to see every state have a law requiring voters to show ID and absentee ballots should be closely watched as well. Box you say that voter fraud is not a serious problem but Al Franken won the election and there were quite a few people who voted that shouldn't have and that election was very close.

YUP!  That's the way the story was reported on FoxSnooze, but it doesn't match the facts.  FACTS seem to be
irrelevant on Conservative sites.  If you just repeat a lie enough, even when the facts disprove that lie... those
watching will choose to believe the lie that agrees with their agenda,  rather than to believe the FACTS.

Some people will always believe the Exciting "Big Conspiracy" story over the dull boring facts.

It's unbelievable to me...

Liberals will take a statistically rare incidents like work related injuries and create a whole bureaucracy like OSHA to regulate and police private business for incidents that if measured statistically are seldom in comparison to uninjured workers.  BUT, when it comes the integrity of our democracy, they can accept voter fraud on a small scale, and see no reason for more laws and regulations to prevent this fraud.

For a liberal to argue against more regulation for something statistically irrelevant means they are benefiting from it being loosely regulated or unregulated.

The Brennan Center for Justice: Agendas and Activities
By Richard Poe
DiscoverTheNetworks.org
2004

Description

The Brennan Center is a think tank and legal activist group affiliated with New York University Law School and closely aligned with the Shadow Party of George Soros. It pursues a wide range of goals drawn from the radical agenda of Sixties activism as well as from the program of George Soros’ Open Society Institute. The Center generates “scholarly” studies, mounts media campaigns, files amicus briefs, gives pro bono support to activists and litigates test cases in pursuit of radical “change.”

Goals

The Center’s stated mission is to carry on the work of its namesake, former Supreme Court Justice William J. Brennan, Jr. (1906 - 1997). Brennan pioneered the modern practice of “legislating from the bench.” He promoted the idea that judges need not respect the “orginal intent” of the Constitution’s Framers. Indeed, when Ronald Reagan argued that the federal government had taken on powers vastly greater than those envisioned by the Framers, Justice Brennan rebuked him in an oft-quoted October 12, 1985 speech at Georgetown University, in which Brennan said, “The genius of the Constitution rests not in any static meaning it may have had in a world that is dead and gone, but in the adaptability of its great principles to cope with current problems and present needs.”

Voter fraud in the USA... So small to be almost non existent.  7 cases out of over 3,000,000 votes.  A fraud rate of 0.0002%
The total recordable cases nonfatal occupational injury and illness incidence rate among private industry employers  in 2010
was 3.5 cases per 100 workers--its lowest level since 2003.  An injury rate of 3.5%

Cic considers a 3.5% injuyr rate to be an inconsequential problem...
Yet Cicero worries about a voter fraud rate of 0.0002%

It's called Agenda Driven Outrage, and is devoid of logic.

Funny ain't it.....how the government has just about stripped Americans of their liberties because of the 'few' criminals/terroists etc....and have created more laws in the  name of 'protection for the people'.

But now that the shoe is on the other foot and with an obvious flaw in the government voting system.....there are now laws to protect the people that would be resolved with ID's!!

There are laws on the books to protect 'us from ourselves'....but God forbid that we create laws that will protect 'us from the government'!!!!

It's just one more grand conspiracy.  It's the Govt's fault... really it is.  Really!

No one gets prosecuted for these 'voter fraud crimes'... even when they (supposedly)  occur in Republican districts
with Republican Prosecuters when a Democrat won the election.

Why is that?  Are the Republicans who ran against the Democrat in on this Conspiracy too???

Ive read tons of pieces about how voter fraud is ACCUSED... Crying, sobbing, weeping Republicans with tears in their
eyes, blaming their opposition of voter fraud... but no charges are issued... no warrents... seldom even a ticket issued.
Why is that?  I understand that you believe that the Democrats rig the elections so that the Republicans lose...
but why don't the Republicans prosecute those allegations?  Could it be that they are just as accurate as FoxSNooze?

Box you either blame Bush or it's a conspiracy of some sort.  You say there's no voter fraud but there has been ample proof that convicted felons and deceased people have voted in past elections and the Supreme Court has stated that a state has the right to make people who vote prove who they are to keep elections fair. You're just upset that all those undocumented Democrats won't be able to vote in the next election.

Of course the Brenner site is part of the Grand Conspiracy... of course it it...

How about GWB?

How about this skeptics...
George Worst Bush looked for FIVE YEARS to find the mythical "voter fraud" that every good Conservative speaks of daily...
Do you know what he found?
WASHINGTON, April 11, 2007 — Five years after the Bush administration began a crackdown on voter fraud, the Justice
Department has turned up virtually no evidence of any organized effort to skew federal elections, according to court
records and interviews.

Although Republican activists have repeatedly said fraud is so widespread that it has corrupted
the political process and, possibly, cost the party election victories, about 120 people have been
charged and 86 convicted as of last year.

5 years of looking for "Rampant Voter Fraud".... The Bush Justice Dept
convicted 86 criminals.
