MC1.....thought you were above this bullcrap...this 'private' business owner takes NO taxpayer's money!!! Hence...........why would ANYONE waste time and energy discussing how a 'private business' does business???? Everyone should be wishing this guy success......yes?
When a private business fails to pay their taxes, they are gaining on the backs of the taxpayers, so in a manner it is taking taxpayers' money When taxes are not paid, the government has to increase taxes to everyone else. Doesn't matter whether the government is doling out tax exemptions to private business (like the dems in the city do), or whether private business fails to pay their taxes, those of us who are taxpayers have to make up the difference!
And when when business people fail to be wise consumers and they get scammed, there are costs to the taxpayers because their are court costs involved in lawsuits, and don't ANYONE tell me that filing fees cover the costs of the court system; and when a business suffers a loss it may be tax deductible, thus again, less revenue to the government.
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
Victor/Victoria is just proving that he/she is suffering from mental disorder and/or lack of self-esteem which requires him/her to jealously lash out and personally attack anyone around him/her who either disagrees with him/her or who has just decided to ignore his/her insane rants.
Every reasonable person wishes the owner of Dolce Vita and any other small businessperson well and hopes that the business will be a success.
Uncle Sams Candy is a small business...do you wish him success or would you bash him as you have done becuase of personal reasons politically motivated and based on your word he insulted your family????

Without restaurants, waiters would purposelessly wander parks all day, folding swans out of actual swans. Keep their hands occupied with this Groupon.

Randy Loren's Dolce Vita Ristorante The newly renovated Randy Loren's Dolce Vita Ristorante infuses classic Italian dishes with a love of music that permeates the classic atmosphere. As diners enjoy plates of lightly breaded veal and parmesan-encrusted tilapia, performers take to the dining room’s elevated stage to coax melodies from a white grand piano sitting under a disco ball and colorful lights. In addition, trimming decorated like piano keys accentuates the wooden bar, whose array of liquor and wine bottles would produce its own grand symphony if it were ever hit with a bunch of tiny pebbles.
and who has been there partaking of the menu lately??......anyone???......
soft (??? ) music in the background....disco ball spinning......colorful lites.....sounds like a theatrical performance...rather than eating pleasure....
http://blog.timesunion.com/tablehopping/33484/dolce-vita-reopens-in-schenectady/ "Dolce Vita Ristorante in Schenectady reopened last weekend in its new location, 1727 State St., about nine months after closing at its home of almost three years, also on State Street. The restaurant suffered money troubles while closed but is finally welcoming diners again, and owner Randy Loren tells me and his daughter Amanda have invested $750,000 in their dream of a restaurant with an Italian menu and live music for dancing every weekend.
Dolce Vita is open for dinner from 5 to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The menu does not yet seem to be online, but the website mentions a $23 prime rib dinner and “Italian and American dinner specials.” Loren regularly performs on Fridays and Saturdays;"
$750k...really????

Why THANK YOU!!! Very enlightening comment. Now grab a rag and wipe all the drool from your keyboard......have you thought about seeing a Doctor about that big him on your back? Having it removed might make your life easier so you don't have to drag your knuckles when you walk.

If they had that kind of money, how come they have not paid back the taxpayers yet? There ARE still tax warrants.
Tax warrants MUST come first.
Well, this sounds like a good item to send to the state and let them know.

WHAAT????????????......is that what he owes????? my gosh....
No, he doesn't owe $750G But if it's true that he had that much money to spend on this restaurant, then he should have paid all those outstanding tax warrants!

Just because he has tax warrants out...don't mean squat! ROTTENdam's supervisor had tax warrants out when he was elected!!!
At least Dolce Vita is a 'private business' and isn't being paid by taxpayer's money like BUFFARTEE!
Get a grip here folks!

So becuase he's private business and no taxpayer funding to run business, failure of settling tax warrants is OK....is that what you are saying? Seems to me that taxpayer money is being used, since we are shouldering the burden of the unpaid tax warrants, don't you think? And as for not getting any Metroplex assistance, well if there are tax warrants, I don't someone would want to apply for funding for the business becuase they wouldn't be able to fly under the radar on the outstanding warrants. How's that for getting a grip?
