I agree! But this is just further proof that businesses in schenectady can't survive or even 'open' for that matter without the METROPLEX/GILLEN/TAXPAYER'S MONEY!! Nor can they compete on a level playing field!
METROPLEX/GILLEN gets to pick which businesses will succeed and which ones will fail.........and they do it all with the overburdened taxpayer's money!!

Ironic that this is alive again. Friend of mine wanted to reserve Mother's Day thinking it might not be busy. Said he emailed them and got reply that they couldn't open by Mother's Day becuase they've had many delays due to (and I'm quoting my friend here) "due to the City, Planning Committee, Plumbing..." Said they are hopeful to open in about 3 weeks.

Not bashing, just commenting on the repetitive statements "we are going to open.....".
But I guess YOU would like to see the city/county/plex leaders forcibly take money the financially struggling homeowners (already paying almost the highest taxes in the country) and give the that Loren guy tax money to open it. And if the homeowners can't pay the tax bill when it comes due, then and the city forecloses on them, that's OK, right?
