SCHENECTADY — The Schenectady Police Department is investigating a series of incidents involving damage done to vehicles while they were travelling on I-890.
In the past three days there have been six reported incidents of vehicles being struck by unknown debris while traveling between exits 6 and 7. All reported incidents occurred after dark and it appears that the suspects are committing their crimes from the wooded areas on the side of the road as well as possibly using the overpasses to drop materials on vehicles.
The Schenectady Police Department is encouraging anyone who has any information about these crimes to contact the Detective Division at 382-5245, and is also encouraging anyone whose vehicle is damaged in the future to immediately contact the department and report the incident.

No kidding. That's part of the reason that I stopped going to St. Clares, then they merged with Ellis. There have been a couple times I decided that it would be better to go to Albany Med / St. Peters instead of Ellis. Didn't want to take the chance that the St. Clare's doctors would be on.
It is noticed, that the cheerleader for increasing taxes on the homeowners in the city -- via spending tax dollars on giving property tax exemptions to the millionaires downtown -- has not spoken about this incident, nor has he explained why there is no money to clean up the city but there is money to hand out to the millionaires downtown.
And this is a guy who will be recommending, proposing, and voting on how tax dollars of the Rotterdam homeonwers is spent, when he himself does not nor has EVER paid taxes to the town, nor the county. Does not even pay taxes through renting an apartment.

That's certainly the Gazetto policy. Keep the implosion going! Last year on this same section of 890 an infant was killed by thrown debris. Still no arrests. But they can build sound barriers. Since DVR's big promotion don't expect much more commentary.
