Since it was under REPUBLICAN leadership that the county kept raising the county tax rate until it reached such high levels --- it would NOT make sense to return control of the county to the Republicans.
The Democrats on the County Legislature have an AWESOME 8 year record of CUTTING THE SIZE of the county workforce, CONTROLLING COSTS and REDUCING THE COUNTY TAX RATE in 4 budget years and having 0% tax rate increase in 1 budget year.
Given the fact that under Republicans -- Schenectady County lost 50,000 jobs and under Democrats the county has added over 3,000 jobs ------- again ... why would anyone want to put the Republicans back in charge ????

Before Election Day it was 5,000 jobs added by every DEM running for an office. Under the DEM morons our County taxes are 4X Saratoga and 3X Albany County. Compare median County taxes paid not the tax rate.
The DEMS didn't raise the rate this year? BFD! When are you breaking wind for the new County home that won't cost us a PENNY. ROTFLMAO!! The lies about job creation continue. County unemployment is higher than all surrounding Counties. Unemployment in the inner City is over 20%. Government can't create jobs other than public sector jobs. It can create a favorable business climate to create jobs and help small business. This Schenectady totally fails to do. They will do everything and anything EXCEPT cut confiscatory property taxes which have destroyed thousands of jobs, chased away hundreds of employers and imploded property values.

In Saratoga County. Where unemployment is much lower and so are taxes. What DVR refuses to admit is that the DEMS ruined the City imploding City Hall for the past 37 straight years. Thank God we finally got one non-DEM elected this November. GE fled to avoid horrible DEM City taxes. They had to knock down entire buildings. The County had little to do with it. This is more Joseph Goebbels disinformation. If only we had a frugal well run 2 party County Board of Supervisors. Like we did for decades. Consolidate the County Legislature! NO!! This is not the time to stop raping the taxpayers. Besides they have a new County Home to build. That won't cost us a PENNY- lol,
