how and when was the Town notified.....isn't it a STATE COUNTY CIIY TOWN warning>>>> starting from the top brass that would be Homeland Security???
seems to me the County is the one at fault......State too.....ex mayor was on TV saying the canal did what it was supposed to do....
Cty Manager.....must be accountqble......
We have a New Orleans problem here.....no one knew what to do...lack of understanding and experience....
An act of Mother Nature is not always predictable......that's why preparing and knowing what needs to be done is crucial.....
Hindsight ....let's see if this taught anyone a lesson.....

Well, see, that's what happens when you report a story that happened earlier in the week, then wait for a Saturday, on Labor Day weekend to try and get a comment. That newspaper is a riot - they'll never follow up on stories like this to actually GET their comment, unless it comes through their telefax machine thingy. Our reps are on cell phones, email, twitter/tweeter or whatever it is, and facebooker - yet nobody was available to respond? That's too funny. Can you tell it isn't an election year - if it was, they'd respond within minutes, or have their face in front of a camera already. |

Dont worry our great leaders in rotterdam are part of an initiative NY Rising - supposed to help the Jct out with 3 million dollars in project $$ lets see how they handle it - bet they spend the money in other parts of rotterdam and the junction gets screwed - been to two of the meetings its a joke |

If Cuomo is involved, the money will have strings attached so it goes for something tacky to attract tourists, but still benefit some rich crony. Maybe a marina or a floating casino barge, something like that. Something the locals don't need or want, and something out of keeping with a rural community. |
