And this is why the entire chain is failing.  Because DVOR decides that he doesn't care for it.  Yeah, OK.  Tell us this, then.  If the chain (insert any chain name here, ie C&B, Friendly's, etc.) has 750 stores, then why is it that when they're going through their restructuring and closing stores, does it automatically seem to make sense that they definitely have no reason to keep the store that is located in Schenectady County open over and above any other store?  What do you think makes that determination?  I know you won't answer, so I will for you. It's called overhead, rent, taxes, "state and federal mandates," the cost of doing business.  If it costs less, there is more of a chance that they will stay in business.  It costs too much to stay in business in Schenectady County, so they all close their doors here.

Obviously -- the store is not popular with consumers in Schenectady County ... and it is probably for the same reasons that no one in my family or that I know of chooses to shop there.  

A lot of stores and businesses are doing quite well in Schenectady County -- others are NOT -- that is true in other counties as well.     Saratoga County is planning to raise its sales tax ... that will negatively impact some of its stores ----- (BTW --if Saratoga County is so great how come there are almost 20 commercial properties along Route 50 between the Schenectady County Line and the City of Saratoga that have been VACANT FOR YEARS ????????????????????????????????????????  Based on that - One could say that Saratoga County is a lousy place to do business and that politicians like Hugh Farley should be thrown out of office because they failed to fix the problem.

Men I know generally buy something other than personal attire for female friends. I can remember when it was considered the height of tackiness to give clothing to someone of the opposite sex you weren't related to. Much too personal.
Actually Christopher and Banks is a little less "cookie-cutter" than a lot of the chains. I think their price point may be too high for that mall. The whole women's clothing industry is having to reconcile to the idea that if you are selling cheap, foreign made clothes like Walmart does, you aren't going to be able to charge twice as much as Walmart without losing sales.

There is nothing inappropriate about a man buying an item of clothing as a gift for a female friend or relative --- if anyone has a problem with that .. that really is an issue that the person bothered by it needs to work out with a psychiatrist or other mental health professional.

So did you accept it as humor or not? I need to know so I am prepared on how I might word future conversations with you.
