As a frail senior I'm deeply offended that nobody contacted me in regards to this function. How am I to know who to vote for when the candidates won't come out of their holes. The geezers at the senior center aren't the only old-timers in town.

You probably didn't miss much. It is just the rotterdam senior gossip center. The only folks that showed up were the 'usuals'. It's much easier to be in the company of like minded folks then it is to go door to door campaigning and be told that if you are a democop......'get off my porch'! TRUE STORY!!

The Supverisor of Public Works is running the Center...if you want to call it that......only shows up once in awhile so it leaves that place wide open for what's happened...
And it may have been the forum was actually the Sr Assoc monthly meeting....therefore, that explains it all...
and that is just a guess. People that knew about it would have been the Pres and officers, members, and the ousiders of the Gentleman's Club plus One. that's how the fundraiser happened for that person in dire needs
What a shame to have this place become what it has....close it and save money
The Rotterdam Seniors and the Rotterdam Senior Center are BOTH great assets in our town. The association did a great public service by inviting ALL of the candidates to a candidate forum -- it is just sad that the "teaparty/GOP" ticket and "Rotterdam's Worst" ticket refused to attend.
The senior center will continue to provide a FULL RANGE of services for years to come AND will -within the next 10 years - be moved into a brand new MULTI-GENERATIONAL TOWN COMMUNITY CENTER.

The Democratic Senior Citizens Association should be ashamed. Americans respect fair play, not underhanded "gotcha" tactics like this. DVOR and DM may think "Gotcha" is good politics, but the residents don't appreciate the snide, too-cute-by-half attitude and trickster ways.
Nothing new here. The DEM City fossils are doing exactly the same thing. They had a meet the candidates for DEMS ONLY! A Lumpy Kosier special. Forget democracy its all about ripping down all opponents signs, bird cage liner mailers and meet the DEM candidates only.
