Actually, I think that doing it for free, as something to help the community, would be the better bet. Maybe a specific area on the site to do this? People could also come on to advertise sales, either at businesses, or garage sales. Be another reason for people to come to the board.
That's another idea, you're right ... yet when I proposed something (just happened to be different) Ms Newberry ran away crying like someone broker her crayons on the school playyard. |

I like their facade. Last I knew they owned the building and can paint it how they want. They chose a whimsical color scheme and attract a young audience. What do you want them to put up, Biaggia, stone veneer and fluted columns? They are a small business in an anti-small-business county trying to compete for very limited dollars because there is pretty low disposable income due to the low median family income. They need to use any edge they have to survive. This is not a residential district with million dollar homes. There are few beautiful commercial properties in the town so I don't think a fancy paint job detracted from the value of the tax base. |

Another thing other NICE communities do.....follow specific guidelines for building design greenery etc.....not Rotterdam,you could build a huge sh*t house paint it purple....just pay your taxes..... |

I happen to agree with Biaggio -- They ought to institute such law, and implement it retroactively so in order to make Rollarama (which is a fine organization) refinish the building and make it something that will make our town better. |
