who the hell cares about Atlas shrugging?     you teapartiers read one book -- or more correctly .. heard that you should read this one book and therefore memorized the title  --- and you keep repeating it to pretend that you have some intelligence

my guess is that the teapartiers actually never read much more than a a couple Dr. Seuss books

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Big differences between tea party and Occupy Wall St.

Some on the left are saying that the “Occupy Wall Street” movement is the left’s tea party. Perhaps they’re projecting their desires instead of seeing the reality. The differences between the two are striking. Tea parties protested in parks and city centers, then went home, usually leaving the area as they found it.
Occupy Wall Street has turned city parks into rat-holes, and one member was photographed defecating on a cop car. The media tried to tar tea parties as racist. When they couldn’t fi nd actual racism, they printed unsubstantiated claims by far-left congressmen as truth. The net is overfl owing with Occupy Wall Street protesters proudly making anti-Semitic rants.
The tea party believes that people are entitled to the money they earn, provided they earned it legally. Occupy Wall Street seems to think that earning a large amount of money makes you evil and that others have a claim on the fruits of your labor.
The tea party wants the bailouts to end and businesses to compete on their own merits. The Occupy Wall Street crowd seems to think that giving the government more power is going to fi x things, the same government that bailed out the banks and auto companies in the fi rst place.
The tea party’s aims are less spending, less taxes and limited government. Occupy Wall Street has been very vocal in its support of socialism. Some of its members have even called for “People’s Assemblies” to form in the “occupied” cities. The difference couldn’t be more striking. The tea party looks to 1776; the Occupy Wall Street movement to 1917.
But perhaps the greatest difference between the two lies in what they’ve done. The tea party protested, then went home and joined the political process. They ran for office and joined local government, and fueled the Republican take-back of the House and countless state governments. Occupy Wall Street went out to protest and — weeks later — is still protesting.
