Did the judge rule on the validity of the signatures? Does renaming their line on the ballot indicate that they had enough valid signatures to run this independent line?
Not necessarily...it was literally a 'settlement'...Brian Quail didn't want the case argued on the public record....and I can think of a number of potential reasons why. If the case had advanced, numerous additional signatures could have been invalidated...but there are never any guarantees....so the petitioners accepted the arrangement and withdrew their petition. |

They have been winning all along...Judy D, Holly V, Angelo S, Nicki D...and they may continue to win with Mike V and Angelo S... Oh yeah that's right...they WERE Republicans poached by the Kratz because they have had no viable candidates of their own for the last few cycles! Gee I almost forgot they are all spineless Kratz now or Kratservatives running as Kratz...and the only one who still has a spine, regrets it and wouldn't run with them again is ND. Now they had to blackmail one of their own to run for Supervisor. It's easy to win when you're a gutless frontrunner afraid of the opposition GL, but thanks anyway for straightening that out for us.  |
