This is a snipet from the Gazette article today:

All Hands on Deck ~ Volunteers big in post-flood efforts

Rotterdam resident Todd Koza, 45, expressed similar feelings. He grew up in the Junction
and has been helping with the cleanup and restoring electricity to people's homes, starting
with the home of "my ex-prom date's husband's mom's house."

"It was the right thing to do," Koza said of his decision to volunteer.  "Someone who has
nothing comes first compared to those of us who have something."

He said he "just kind of knocks on people's doors and ask if they need help.  Sometimes
they say, no, no, no, and so I've got to kind of push it a bit."

He said it's been hard to watch people "shovel their memories out the door.  "The stuff
that they were pulling out was just covered with mud, and it wasn't normal mud, it was
nasty mud."

That is very nice. It is good to see people out doing that stuff.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Good thing you haven't mentioned anyone from the Republican Party. After all, the people down there know that they've been there without you spouting their names, but why make cleanup after a storm political?  I thought that was something you didn't want to do... oh, right, unless it helps those YOU want to see in office.

Mr. Koza did not make it political.  He was interviewed along with others who volunteered; he didn't
say 'Hi I am Todd Koza running for office" then came the rest of the story.

Humbleness is part of a hero.....I see no humbleness here.....and the news media was the winner....they must have been forewarned and played into the mix.....FDG was there and for him it was all supposed to be for his own agenda.....wrong.......the real people who are the heroes are those living that nightmare...and they are the
ones that this community needs to have fundraisers for....let's see who does what now.....
The Demos have made news.....big deal.....it's those that are silent that need to be respected and honored.

Human generosity and sacrifice  is at it's best when there is a tragedy such as hurricane irene. Hundreds of thousands of people have been and are still working tirelessly though out the region. There are also hundreds and thousands of faces no one will ever see. These faceless folks are the ones who have donated money and supplies.

When a wide spread tragedy of this magnitude hits......it takes a village and beyond.
