You can tell that the democons are in control of the rotterdam town hall again! The residents are getting screwed while the friends and family club are getting a free pass. First it was BI's zone change on property he owed back taxes on. Then it was the floral ave fiasco and now the lawn dale folks. Who and what neighborhood will be next?

Well, it's a big meeting, so Nicki DiLeva is absent.

Matt Martin moved the CVS vote only to bring it to a vote.  Wayne Calder said to Frank DelGallo that he could second the vote to send it for a vote.  FDG does second the vote.  Bob Godlewski votes yes to send to the Planning Commission.  Matt Martin votes no.  Wayne Calder votes no.  Frank Del Gallo votes yes.  Essentially a hung vote, so its not going to the planning commission at this time, but it's not denied, theredore it can come up again.

It was asked in the meeting by Calder and reponded by DelGallo that the PT employees are (2) lifeguards at $9.00 an hour that have not set schedule for hours per week.

So how are they going to balance the budget- by laying off 2 $9.00 an hour lifeguards who work part time?

no, by hiring 2, since they retired the FULL TIME person in the same position.  Savings will come in the number of hours and non-payment of benefits to the new employees.

So what are they gonna' save? $6,000 a year? How are they going to stop a 25% tax increase?
