Here is one that some of the younger people might not know. The Kinks are fantastic. They refused to conform to what the producers and record execs expected of them to become big in America. They refused to stop singing in their Brit accents and they were steadfast in doing things uncompromisingly.

If you're only familiar with Etta James via Beyonce and Cadillac Records, then you really need to give the real Etta James a listen......everytime I hear her sing I get chill bumps......amazing.....

I was a Kinks and Stones fan way before I started liking the Beatles. I've always gravitated to the edgier stuff.

The first Blood Sweat and Tears................never really cared for any versions of the band after this one...........the fact that Al Kooper played on Dylans albums had something to do with that..................
