Signs/campaigns

Roger hull picked the worst design for his team in the city.  Can't read anything.

Dems in Rotterdam look cheap and desperate, with the plastic baggy signs that are getting destroyed in the rain.  Plusthey are everywhere and make town look like crap.  Their big signs.......... To much going on.....

Both designs rep/dem seem fine.  Typical red/blue

Interesting note I see more rep signs on homes and dem signs thrown all over the town at every possible corner.

Elections to close to call.............

My co worker's daughter and son-in-law, live out of state but came home this past weekend for a wedding.

They drove through rotterdam. First they said it looks like a mess with all of the campaign signs. Then they wanted to know who was running for what and were they dems or reps? It was understandable how some would find it overwhelming and confusing.

We Democrats are certainly NOT desperate --- we have the best team ... the Magnificent 7 and Diane -- our signs look great.

Funny, the GOP never complained about THEIR signs when they had tons of them all over town 2 years, 4 years and 6 years ago.

Sounds like sour grapes to me.

I have not heard one complaint from any of the townspeople and except for the obvious illegal sign placement -- by the Nattering Naybobs of Negativity -- at cemeteries and churches....there really has not been a problem!

Cortland County has a law restricting these signs to one per property wiht a fine of $10 each for more than 1 and/or a $250 fine if they refuse to abide.  Unfortunately the law was enacted in 2003 and never enforced becuz it is thought to be unconstitutional and ACLU is threatening to take them to court over the law.

It is unconstitutional. It is political speech, and it cannot be limited that easily, and it is at its height during an election season.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
