TOTALITAIANISM....WOW, ARE YOU EVER DELLUSIONAL OR WHAT? TRY LIVING IN THE REAL WORLD, ACTUALLY CONTRIBUTING AND PAYING TAXES; FEELING THE EFFECTS OF THIS ECONOMY BEFORE YOU ATTACK THOSE OF US THAT ARE LIVING IT EVERYDAY.

MY POINT, WHICH YOU OBVIOUSLY ARE TOO STUPID TO GRASP, WAS THAT YOU ARE REVOLVING AROUND ACTIVITIES THAT ARE NOT GOING TO REVIVE OUR COMMUNITIES, LOWER OUR TAXES, IMPROVE OUR WAY OF LIFE, HELP SECURE OUR FUTURES AND THOSE OF OUR CHILDREN.  IF YOU ARE POLITICALLY MOTIVATED AS YOU IMPLY, THEN WHY NOT FOCUS ON WAYS TO HELP OUR COMMUNITY AND BRING THOSE IDEAS TO THE TABLE.  CONDOS THAT NO ONE CAN AFFORD; A PARK, A BBQ ARE NOT THOSE KIND OF IDEAS....GOT IT DMOR....TRY LISTENING FOR A CHANGE INSTEAD OF BEING AN IGNORANT ATTACK TIGGER!                YOUR HITLER COMMENT IS AN EXAMPLE OF JUST HOW VIAL, IGNORANT AND STUPID YOU REALLY ARE. IF YOU HAD ANY INTELLIGENCE WHATSOEVER, YOU WOULD KNOW JUST HOW OFFENSIVE SUCH A COMMENT IS TO SO MANY PEOPLE.  IT'S AN EXAMPLE OF HOW EMPOWERED YOU FEEL HIDING IN CYBERSPACE, BECUASE I AM SURE YOU WOULD NEVER HAVE THE NERVE TO SAY THAT TO MY FACE.

My discussing an idea for a private business venture has NOTHING to do with politics  ... in a FREE ENTERPRISE SYSTEM  (something you obviously don't like) ..   individuals can actually think about and make plans for and, eventually, open private businesses.      What the hell my thinking about opening a business has anything to do with lowering your taxes or improving your way of life  ... is beyond me.   What I do with my money is my business ---- I am not going to hand it over to you for you to decide where I should spend it.

As for the parks -- that AGAIN -- is something I personally am interested in working on.  There are many others who share that interest and we are working to improve our town parks.   If you don't like it - that is really not my problem.  I don't need you to give me permission on how to use my time and energy .. and on what issues to focus on.

Same with the condos on the river -- if I want to purchase one down there someday .. it is NONE of your business.

And - I think you are the one who is hiding in cyperspace ... after all .. you know who I am .. I don't know who you are ..   so grow up.

I have stated that I prefer to purchase candy at Krause's and Saratoga Sweets .. but have never mentioned the name of any other candy store ... never mentioned the name of any Rotterdam BBQ in a negative manner  nor have I mentioned any Rotterdam restaurants in a negative manner.

I do seem to recall you and other bashing the Recovery Room and other establishments owned by residentsof Rotterdam.

My stating that I am thinking about establishing a new  BBQ place is NOT knocking down any other bbq place  ... so get over it.

Oh?  You sir are a liar!  Just a quick search turns up results:

If Uncle Sam's changes ownership,  I would patronize the store.   But after its owner insulted my aunts, I wouldn't even give the turd the time of day.

And why did you pick and choose what you wanted to reply to in my post....how about addressing your HITLER comment and how offensive and vial that is and how you are too ignorant to know it's one of the worst things you can publicly say!

of course the  most important matters to debate  ---  in terms of BBQ

beef or pork or  ???

sauce on before or after

tomato-based sauce vs mustard-based sauce

Is there really a right answer or a wrong answer ?????      personally, I think half the fun of the debate is the "journey"  -- trying all of the different kinds of BBQ --- and maybe we will only know the answers  when we get to the Eternal BBQ up above.

Personally -- I prefer meat smoked WITH OUT any sauce ...   low and slow ..   and  a good wood should be used ---- we always had luck with apple wood

and it isn't a real BBQ unless it includes beef and a variety of sausages.

Of course the best BBQ is made with brisket and polish sausage  --- smoked low and slow -- and served with a good dark beer.

All right, I will play your game. Mustard sauce is excellent with pork. Tomato based sauce is always best for beef. I use apple, and some hickory. Never mesquite unless you are doing a Texas style brisket. It is bitter. Pulled pork and spare ribs are able to be smoked with Apple, Cherry, Oak, Maple, Pear, Pecan, and Hickory. BBQ is expensive and most people around here don't want to pay $20.00 for a platter of que with fixins. The fixes cost of operating here in NY is so much greater than Texas or Tenn. Here is what one is up against:

Higher-
Energy costs (2x)
Insurance costs
Labor compliance costs
Shipping costs (tolls and gas cost more so truck cos chg more to work here)
Property tax costs (therefore rent costs) (2-10x)
Income tax costs (for instance if one incorporates and files taxes in NYS, you pay a tax whether you make money or not)
Workers comp costs (2x-4x)
Unemployment Insurance costs
Motor vehicle costs if you have a truck or car for the business

Basically when you add those fixed costs to the cost of the inventory and the labor, it is rather inflationary. Tough to do business in NYS. The numbers don't ad up. That is why we have a hard time bringing in business like that. Of course many of the progressively communist here will have trouble believing that.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
