The interesting thing about Al Gore --- I actually stayed in Carthage, TN --- his "hometown" --- and no one I spoke with were aware that he supposedly grew up there and still owns a home there ... and none of them seemed to actually care about him or that he is a home town boy.

Rampage,

You expect Americans to remember TWO presidents ago?  Not a chance!!  Cable tv has over 500 channels of mind numbing programming that has all be deleted the American conscience of what happened last week let alone last year.

The nation has polarized, people are getting scared and digging in.  This is going to be an epic battle between the alliance of the authoritarian government bureaucrats, multinational corporatists, and proletariats versus the American bourgeois.  It's not hard to see where the power lies.  The bourgeois have the numbers, the alliance has the money and power. Middle America needs to continue to wake up and realize what is going on...AND FAST.

hey GB,, how is your gal Camello doing> she ran the canal corp before hand, a Rep pick.. did she drop the ball on this? seems so. I think the problem is all here fault... she failed to have in place a good system for dealing with major disasters, and she seems not to have hired competent people to run the system below her. yep, Carmello is the reason we are here. and now she wants to be mayor of troy. OMG... poor troy

It was probably a patronage hack position like stratton's....poor schenectady!! Those positions are just 'political seat warmers'. Stratton was put out to pasture there.

Brian McGarry may have just made the move that will cost him the election in November.  You heard it here first (well, second, considering it was something he did on the internet).

Remarks following on this post.  Check them out yourself.  He may not get a single vote from the Junction and Pattersonville after this.

I thought the same thing UNTIL I called my family member that lives out there. They said that there are signs EVERYWHERE.

So no big scoop here.

Well, they must have just popped up because I haven't seen any (except for a couple before getting into the Junction) during the time I was out there.

and the two elephants (GOPers)  are having a fistfight in the corner .... the NNN losers are going to be getting kicked in the dupa by the voters --- to my grand delight and to the delight of the fine First Responders of the RPD, the various and sundry volunteer Firemen and of course the treasured ambulance workers who save countless lives ...... I  would not want to face their wrath ... Hooray for the Working Together Team!

Voting history says it will be very close.  No landslides this year.

Town has been trending real conservative / republican

Taxing district shot down
Mohonasen garage shot down

Last race the lone rep, didn't he win rep to dem?

Mcgarry walks into November with 1400 votes in his pocket from row z.

Prediction..... To close to call...........

If anyone thinks that getting 1400 votes will make the race "too close to call" -- they obviously haven't done much research on past town elections.

allow me to modify my original post

Mcgarry walks into the November general election with 1400 votes in his pockets from his campaign last time around, just from row whatever he had last time.

that is a pretty good start in my opinion

prediction :  still to close to call

Flood victims soaked again
By Steven Cook

ROTTERDAM JUNCTION — Thursday evening’s storms created a new headache for flood-plagued Rotterdam Junction, as two of three storm drain pumps were knocked out of service for a time.

The result, town Highway Superintendent Jim Longo said, was water backing up again into homes on Lock Street. Town crews worked quickly to fix the problem, and the pumps were expected to be back online and fully operational again before the evening was out, he said.

It was unclear what happened to the pumps, Longo said, but a lightning strike could have caused them to lose power. The one pump that remained couldn’t handle the storm runoff, sending water back into homes still drying out from the Irene disaster.

Rain came through in two storms Thursday evening, one before sunset and one after. Rainfall totals in some areas could have reached 11⁄2 inches, based on radar estimates, according to the National Weather Service........................>>>>.......................>>>>.......................https://www.dailygazette.com/news/2011/sep/22/0923_Pumps/?mobile

Was it going to be a riverfront development?
