The article says it was a planned protest during a busy evening commute on a Thursday. Not too many elderly or families using mass transit at rush hour. A single mother forced by economic necessity to bring young children out at that time would have been wise to find alternate means of transportationfor that one day. I for one would not bring small children to the scene of a protest, whether or not they had cell phone service. In America, we have a right to assemble and protest. We can't let imaginary "safety" concerns take away our rights that our forefathers died for. Why does someone always bring children into it? What children?
