RURAL???? Looking on the google map (which may be outdated) the property appears to be by the thruway and a hop skip and a jump from the golub warehouse with a huge development to it's back and another to it's front!!
Not that it really matters, cause there are now folks from the east and west side of rotterdam looking to do the same thing. Especially the new legal immigrants that now reside in rotterdam. Raising animals for food is part of their culture and it appears to be catching on to save $$$.
I think it's a great idea!!! In fact, a guy I work with, who is an avid hunter, and his wife, who lives in colonial manor is planning to have a full fledged chicken coup by September. He said that between his hunting and the chickens, they should be able to save tons on their grocery bill.

Bottom line is that rotterdamians who have a 200-210 zoning now know that they too can raise....'whatever'.....and that is exactly what they are planning to do...................cause now they can! They are very grateful for this new information. They can now feed their families for less $$$ with fresh eggs and fresh home grown chickens!! It don't get any better then that!! Healthier and cheaper!!!
