This undated frame grab provided by WSMV-TV in Nashville, Tenn., shows Pfc. Naser Abdo. Abdo, 21, arrested Wednesday, July 27, 2011, who had weapons stashed in a motel room near Fort Hood, Texas, admitted planning an attack on the post, where 13 people died in 2009 in the worst mass shooting ever on a U.S. military installation, the Army said in an alert issued Thursday.

KILLEEN, Texas — An AWOL soldier who had weapons stashed in a motel room near Fort Hood has admitted planning an attack on the Texas post, where 13 people died in 2009 in the worst mass shooting ever on a U.S. military installation, the Army said in an alert issued Thursday.

Pfc. Naser Abdo, a 21-year-old soldier granted conscientious objector status this year after he said his Muslim beliefs prevented him from fighting, was arrested Wednesday. Agents found firearms and "items that could be identified as bomb-making components, including gunpowder," in his motel room, according to FBI spokesman Erik Vasys.

The Army alert sent via email and obtained by The Associated Press says Killeen police arrested Abdo after a tip from the owners of a gun shop and that he "was in possession of a large quantity of ammunition, weapons and a bomb inside a backpack."

Upon questioning, the alert says, he admitted planning an attack on Fort Hood.

Officials have not offered details about Abdo's possible intentions. The infantry soldier from Fort Campbell, Ky., whose hometown is Garland, Texas, applied for conscientious objector status last year. A military review board recommended this spring that he be separated from the Army........................>>>>...................>>>>.....................http://www.rr.com/news/topic/a.....ort_Hood_attack_plan

So his religious beliefs prevented him from fighting and ultimately being granted Concientous Objector staus, yet he has a motel room full of weapons, large cache of ammunition, and a bomb to carry out a "planned" attack on Fort Hood.  Fighting for your country, No Good!  Fighting as a terrorist, OK!     HUH???????

An anti-war group calling itself Courage to Resist started a legal defense fund for Pfc. Naser Abdo, the Muslim soldier arrested Wednesday who reportedly admitted planning a terror attack on Fort Hood soldiers, WND has learned.

The organization last year also featured Abdo, 21, in its newsletter, branding him a "Muslim peacemaker."

Less than a year after the Fort Hood shooting massacre by Muslim U.S. Army major Nidal Malik Hasan, Abdo was caught this week with a bomb in a backpack and weapons stashed in a motel room meant for another attack at the base.

Yesterday, RawStory.com reported Abdo has ties to a number of anti-war organizations, including Iraq Veterans Against the War and Courage to Resist.

Both groups supported Abdo's petition for conscientious objector status, which he was eventually granted after he wrote in an application he that he was conflicted about "whether going to war was the right thing to do Islamically.".........................>>>>...............................>>>>...........................Read more: Anti-war group raised money for Fort Hood terror plotter http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=327593#ixzz1TWqmNxM1
