SCHENECTADY COUNTY
Godlewski forces primary in District 4

BY MICHAEL LAMENDOLA Gazette Reporter

Rotterdam Deputy Supervisor Robert Godlewski has filed a petition to force a Democratic primary in Schenectady County Legislative District 4.
Godlewski filed a designating petition with the Schenectady County Board of Elections on Tuesday, according to Democratic Commissioner Brian Quail.
If the petition survives a challenge, Godlewski would force a primary also involving Democrats Angelo Santabarbara and Anthony Jasenski. The Schenectady County Democratic Committee has endorsed Santabarbara and Jasenski in the race for two open seats in District 4, which consists of Rotterdam, Duanesburg and Princetown.
Godlewski was not available for comment. He has until Monday to drop his primary bid, according to the county Board of Elections.
Bradley Belfance of Rotterdam has filed a general objection to Godlewski’s petition. Belfance has six days to fi le specifi c challenges, which, if successful, would knock Godlewski out of the primary. Party sources, however, said Godlewski’s petition appears solid. ..........................>>>>..................>>>>.................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01304&AppName=1

but I thought someone was saying everything was wonderful in the Democratic Party and they were going to run over the Republicans like a, say, steamroller.  I wonder if they know who is going to be driving.  Will there be a pool party invasion of the Democratic ticket?

Everything is fine among the REAL Democrats -- Bob Godlewski has chosen to betray his party along with Bill Cooke and a few others.    Both of these men will lose ultimately lose.

As far as who is driving the Democratic Party -- the Democratic Party Committee is in great shape 100% of our committee seats are filled  .. over 75% voted to endorse the slate and even a few that didn't will join the rest of us in working for the endorsed slates victory in both the primary and general elections.   We have a great  chairman who is ORGANIZED and is a TEAM BUILDER -- unlike our past chairman who has chosen to make a "revenge bid" against our endorsed slate.

As of today - there is no "pool party" in Rotterdam --- and basically - even if they get enough signatures to create a party line (which they may have difficulty doing)  -  the "pool party" slate of DelGallo, Godlewski and Cooke is  ALL WASHED UP.     Judging by what I have heard from town residents during the door-to-door campaign   DelGallo, Godlewski and Cooke are about as popular in town as a poison ivy outbreak at a nudistcolony.

Ah, but if they do get enough signatures how many votes will be taken away from the other Dem slate?

My hunch is .. not many.   Going door-to-door, one gets the "pulse" of the voters .. and the voters have had enough of Bob Godlewski  -- they don't think highly of Bill Cooke -- and they are embarrassed by Frank DelGallo.

Since Godlewski has chosen to betray his party,  I think the party should send him an invoice for his share of the unpaid bills that he stiffed us on 2 years ago.

Or as popular as you in a nudist colony? No?

This is too funny. He already got wiped once for County Leg. Let's see how many in town want Bob God's "leadership" at the County. The towns gain is the County's loss?  Just what this County needs another DEM stooge for higher taxes and more idiotic laws no one can enforce.

Of course the GOP doesn't have much to offer for County Leg in District #4 ---  and so, thankfully,  the   incumbents will win reelection and  the County Leg will keep  WORKING TOGETHER  and PRODUCING POSITIVE RESULTS.

I'm no fan of Godlewski, but the truth is your Party "betrayed" Godlewski and Cooke long ago...long before this latest round....and
while FDG has been a disappointment, he was "betrayed" by your Party as well...all because he wouldn't march to the beat of the
maniacal Jasenski drum....and all were bastardized when they disagreed with TJ and wouldn't sail on his crooked ship....others yet
were threatened when they opposed his ambulance tax scam.

TJ is not organized....he's not a leader....and he certainly isn't a team builder. The only people TJ wants on his "team" are those
stupid enough to be intimidated by him. If TJ were really a "team builder", his "team" would have been collecting their own
signatures on their "Lower Taxes Now !" (LOL) petitions...instead of a few clueless kids from Albany and a bunch of NYC Kratz.
