I think it is very possible to have the house go to the Dems...
Dems are almost certain to gain in the Senate, although I think a filibuster proof 60 is unlikely.
If the Dems control the legislative and exec branches like they did in 2009-2010, they better perform or the house will flip back in 2014. You can forget about any meaningful deficit reduction during this period.

Obama official: Benghazi was a terrorist attack
Posted By Josh Rogin Wednesday, September 19, 2012 - 1:30 PM Share

The Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was in fact "a terrorist attack" and the U.S. government has indications that members of al Qaeda were directly involved, a top Obama administration official said Wednesday morning.

"I would say yes, they were killed in the course of a terrorist attack on our embassy," Matt Olsen, the director of the National Counterterrorism Center, said Wednesday at a hearing of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, in response to questioning from Chairman Joe Lieberman (I-CT) about the attack that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans.

As for who was responsible, Olsen said it appears there were attackers from a number of different militant groups that operate in and around Benghazi, and said there are already signs of al Qaeda involvement.

"We are looking at indications that individuals involved in the attack may have had connections to al Qaeda or al Qaeda's affiliates; in particular, al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb," he said.
The U.S. government just isn't sure yet whether the terrorist attack was pre-planned or whether it was an example of terrorists taking advantage of protests against an anti-Islam film, Olsen said.

NBC News has obtained the rest of Obama’s comments, and it is clear his remarks were taken completely out of context. Obama is not talking about redistributing wealth at all — instead, he speaks about competition, the market place and innovation in an effort to improve government services in Chicago.

Cicero's Redistribution Video:

President Obama's campaign released a new video made up entirely out-of-context
clips of Mitt Romney, intended to show how the Romney campaign's attack on Obama's 14 year
old "redistribution" comment was unfair.

President Obama Falsely Claims Fast and Furious Program “Begun Under the Previous Administration”
Asked about the Fast and Furious program at the Univision forum on Thursday, President Obama falsely claimed that the program began under President George W. Bush.

“I think it’s important for us to understand that the Fast and Furious program was a field-initiated program begun under the previous administration,” the president said. “When Eric Holder found out about it, he discontinued it. We assigned a inspector general to do a thorough report that was just issued, confirming that in fact Eric Holder did not know about this, that he took prompt action and the people who did initiate this were held accountable.”

In actuality, the Fast and Furious program was started in October 2009, nine months into the Obama presidency.  http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/po.....ious-administration/

Previous programs involving ATF agents allowing guns to “walk” across the border so as to trace them were run during the Bush presidency, but not this particular “field-initiated program.”

I love when Conservatives accuse others of LIES... but when they tell them, they are called "MISTAKES"!   :P

Lies??? Check it out:
ATF Project Gunrunner has a stated official objective to stop the sale and export of guns from the
United States into Mexico in order to deny Mexican drug cartels the firearms considered "tools of the trade".
However, since 2006 under Operation Wide Receiver (2006-2007), Hernandez Case (2007), Medrano
Case (2008) and Operation Fast and Furious (2009-2011), the Phoenix offices of ATF and USAO did the
opposite by permitting, encouraging and facilitating 'straw purchase' firearm sales to traffickers, and
allowing the guns to 'walk' and be transported to Mexico

The NAME "fast and furious" was from 2009, but the same program under several different names originated
under GWB.  Different phases of the same guns program and most of them had the same problem.

Lies??? Project Gunrunner (BUSH), Operation Wide Receiver (BUSH), and Fast & Furious (Obama) were all
different phases of the same program.

Maybe if Obama stayed around the WH more he could keep track of what's really going on in the country. The Bush administration stopped the Gun Walker program in 2007 because they found problems with tracking theweapons involved. The ATF, ICE and DOJ should have learned from the mistakes during the Bush administration instead of starting Fast and Furious up in 2009. All the article is saying is that Obama didn't know the difference between the Bush mistakes and when his mistakes started.

A south suburban man has been charged in connection with the theft of two checks totaling more than $50,000 from President Barack Obama’s national campaign headquarters in Chicago, authorities say.

Willard Elam, 48, of the 15500 block of South Drexel Avenue in Dolton, is charged with one count of continuing a financial crimes enterprise, according to the Cook County state’s attorney’s office.

Police said one other man was in custody and they were seeking a third person, but state's attorney spokesman Andy Conklin would only say the investigation was continuing.

The checks were stolen from where the campaign headquarters is located in the Prudential Plaza building at 130 E. Randolph St., apparently last week, according to police. The checks were made out to legitimate businesses, but the suspects deposited them in phony accounts they had set up under the names of those companies, authorities said.

On Sept. 13, Elam entered the TCF Bank in South Holland and used his own identification to set up one of the phony accounts and deposit a check from the campaign for $23,839.80, according to the police report.

The day before, the person still at large opened a phony account at a TCF Bank in Dolton, also using his own identification, and deposited the second check taken from the campaign. It was not known how much it was for.

Elam is expected in bond court on Saturday, said Conklin.

Ben Finkenbinder, the Midwest press secretary for the Obama campaign, said: “Three checks we sent to vendors made it into the wrong hands, and after learning of this we notified the police. We’re pleased that they’re dealing with the issue swiftly, and don’t expect this to have any impact upon the campaign.”

An Obama campaign official, who asked not to be identified because he was not authorized to speak on the matter, said the checks were not taken from the campaign’s offices, but were taken from the building housing the campaign headquarters.

I don't understand why they're in trouble, they were JUST redistributing the wealth as taught to them by their leader.  It sounds like any good lawyer could get these guys off. (get your mind out of the gutter)

Oh no...The "fact checker". Here come the pinocchios!! LOL The fact is, that clip show how brilliant of a politician Obama is and how stupid Americans are.  In this clip, Obama takes both sides of the ideological debate - government vs free markets.  Obama is so talented that he can seamlessly take both sides of a debate simultaneously without most people even noticing, hence satisfying both the left and the right.  Obama rhetoric is ALWAYS a combination of big government and free markets, as a matter of fact, both sides do it, they call that "moderate".  But if you ignore the words of these politicians and actually look at policy, you will realize they are ALL big government, central planning Keynesians.

BUSH DID IT!!!  Obama doesn't have to be accountable for anything as long as "Bush did it".  How embarrassing.  Like kids on the playground - 'but johnny did it too'.

One good thing about this election cycle is.  The government and media establishment is being exposed for the fraud they are.  The illegitimacy of the political and social ruling class has never been more apparent.

Quoted Text
After the deadly attack on the United States Embassy in Libya, it was apparent to many that the attack was premeditated and designed to kill Americans – not to protest an amateur-made movie that mocked Islam and disrespected Mohammad. The militant 9-11 attackers totally achieved their goal by leaving the United States Embassy in shambles with charred and blood-stained walls as well as a trail of death.

Yet the current administration in the United States government insisted otherwise. President Barack Obama, United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and White House Press Secretary Jay Carney led the way by denouncing those who dared state the obvious version of what had happened in Benghazi, Libya – that it was about terrorism and not about the anti-Mohammad film.

Finally, a week later, the obvious has been addressed by Jay Carney at the White House and Mathew Olsen, the director of the National Counterterrorism Center, who both now admit that the deadly acts against United States Ambassador to Libya Christopher Steven and three other Americans were indeed an act of terrorism, obviously committed on 9-11.

With Americans watching the nearing of the date September 11, 2012 on the calendar for weeks – if not months – and dreading the stark reality that something disastrous may happen to innocent Americans again, the president and his political cronies refused to believe what happened.

Yet Americans are supposed to have faith in them, their judgment, trust their words and actions – and sit idly by as they denounce anyone who dares to try to challenge their words. Additionally, with extreme words, they denounce anyone who tries to challenge them for their power and positions. Unfortunately, in the past week, we have seen far too many Americans bow down to the blatant misspeaks or, perhaps, lies spoken by those in positions we have been able to dutifully trust in the past.

With this administration, we have seen far too many people trust in everything the political leaders say and do in Washington – without logical and discerned question. This is just plain foolish on the part of the blind followers.

More than what these national leaders and politicians are doing to Americans, consider what they are they telling the rest of the world – the rest of the world who figured out the nation was 9/11-attacked again as soon as it happened. Our leaders told the world that we are a nation led by either ignorance via doubt or by liars. Neither, of course, is an admirable trait to display when one claims to be “the” world leader. Beyond causing America to be embarrassed throughout the world, last week’s denial of what happened on 9/11/2012 makes us look incredibly weak.

Even the thought of blaming the anti-Islamic, Mohammad-disgracing movie for the most recent 9/11 attack on innocent Americans was ignorant – and carrying the thought out through words from the nation’s capital via our top leaders was incredibly inappropriate, totally embarrassing, extremely America-weakening, and – most of all – an ignorant stunt to try to pass on to America and the world.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney finally telling reporters a week after the incident, “It is, I think, self-evident that what happened in Benghazi was a terrorist attack,” is too little – far too late.

The goal now is for the United States and Libya to join political forces to bring the attackers to justice. This, of course, needs to be done swiftly and honorably in the name of the four fallen Americans.

Then, there needs to be a full investigation as to why those present in the attacked-United States Embassies weren’t forewarned of the attacks as evidence that there was prior knowledge of the attacks grows.
