Do some reading on Retired Lt. Gen. William G. “Jerry” Boykin... he is a loose cannon.  The US military disavows
his radical Right Wing anti Islam views.

Boykin sees terrorism as a biblical war between Christians and Islam.

Deny, deflect, denounce, and destroy all  who disagree with the collectives position.

Not my words shadow...
~ NY Times: Boykin "Likened The Battle Against Islamic Militants To A Christian Struggle Against Satan."
~ Associated Press: Boykin Said Islamic Extremists Hate U.S. "Because We're A Christian Nation,"
~Associated Press:  Discussing a 1993 battle by American soldiers against a Muslim warlord in Somalia,
he told an audience: "I knew my God was bigger than his. I knew that my God was a real God and his
was an idol."

~ Republican Senators wanted Boykin to testify against the supreme court nomination hearings against
Justice Elena Kagan... When word of his "Biblical War against Islam" became known... those same
Republican Senators, DISINVITED Boykin from the hearings.

Deny, deflect, denounce, and destroy??? Boykin destroyed his own credibility with his Radical Religious
Right Wing words.

Don't try to tell me that those sweet radical Islamists don't hate the US because of our religion, and life style, they will never like us nomatter what we do so maybe Boykin was right about that. I've seen what the radical Muslims have done to each other for a thousand years and how they hate the Jews for just being Jews.Very peace loving people.

Lights go dim on another energy project

By Chuck Neubaur
The Washington Times

Wednesday, July 4, 2012

Secretary of Energy Steven Chu (right) and Sen. Harry Reid, Nevada Democrat, announce construction of a hybrid geothermal/solar power plant in Nevada last summer. (Associated Press)

    United States Department Of Energy
In this economy, is having a college degree worth graduating with substantial student loans?
A geothermal energy company with a $98.5 million loan guarantee from the Obama administration for an alternative energy project in Nevada — which received hearty endorsements from Energy Secretary Steven Chu and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid — faces financial problems, and the company’s auditors have questioned whether it can stay in business.

Much like Solyndra LLC, a California solar-panel manufacturer with a $535 million federal loan guarantee that went bankrupt, Nevada Geothermal Power (NGP) has incurred $98 million in net losses over the past several years, has substantial debts and does not generate enough cash from its current operations after debt-service costs, an internal audit said.

“The company’s ability to continue as a going concern is dependent on its available cash and its ability to continue to raise funds to support corporate operations and the development of other properties,” NGP auditors said in a financial statement for the period ending March 31.

“Consequently, material uncertainties exist which cast significant doubt upon the company’s ability to continue as a going concern,” the statement said.

Mr. Reid, a Nevada Democrat who led passage of the $814 billion stimulus bill and worked to include the loan guarantee program to help finance clean-energy projects, predicted in 2010 that NGP would “put Nevadans to work” and declared that Nevada was the “Saudi Arabia of geothermal energy.”

Mr. Chu celebrated NGP’s potential in his June 2010 announcement of the loan guarantee, saying the federal government’s support of the company demonstrated its commitment to geothermal power to achieve the nation’s clean-energy goals.http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/jul/4/lights-go-dim-on-another-energy-project/

A new Economist/YouGov poll shows President Obama leading Mitt Romney nationally by four points, 47% to 43%.

The Gallup tracking poll also shows Obama ahead 48% to 44%.

Checklist of Obama’s accomplishments

Health care for all — check. Small but continued job growth — check. No war on women — check (except pending bill in Mississippi to outlaw all abortions, but I bet Viagra is still covered for men.) Progress on immigration — check. Stock market up over 5 percent for the year as of June 29 — check. Osama bin Laden dead — check. President Obama saved this country as we were over the cliff when he took offi ce It takes more than a few years to at least bring us back to the edge of that cliff. Thank you, Mr. President. Looking forward to four more years!

New Deal did lasting good; Obama stimulus temporary

Our current president, like his progressive predecessor FDR, believes in Keynesian macroeconomic theory. Simply described, this is the belief that if the federal government spends taxpayers’ money, it will “stimulate” the economy and reduce unemployment. Economists are still arguing whether the New Deal helped to end the Great Depression and there is no consensus today on the effi - cacy of Obama’s stimulus on our current great recession.
FDR’s New Deal cost approximately $500 billion in today’s dollars. Obama’s stimulus package (the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009) cost approximately $830 billion. However, FDR’s stimulus was much more worthwhile than Obama’s.
FDR’s New Deal provided 650,000 miles of new/improved roads, 78,000 new/improved bridges, 950 new/improved airports and many of the Tennessee Valley Authority’s dams and power plants. It also left us with Camp David, the Timberline Lodge, the Griffi th Observatory and the Blue Ridge Parkway, all important parts of America’s heritage. It employed 8.5 million different Americans, with peak employment of 3.3 million in 1938 (U.S. population in 1938 was 130 million).
In comparison, Obama’s stimulus has provided unemployment benefi ts, temporary tax cuts, social welfare provisions and speculative investments in failed green energy projects like Solyndra, SunPower and A123 Systems. All ephemeral, with no lasting impact. The New Deal was a much better deal for America.

‘Accomplishments’ by Obama go on and on

Re the July 7 letter by Diane Hombach, who made a brief checklist of President Obama’s “accomplishments.” I would like to add to her list: Ended the manned U.S. space program — check. Increased the national debt by $5 trillion — check. Presided over the first-ever downgrade of the U.S. bond rating — check. Presided over three years of sustained unemployment over 8 percent — check. More Americans on food stamps than ever before — check. Is managing the slowest economic recovery since the Great Depression — check. Lied when he told us the Affordable Care Act was not a tax — check. Is completely clueless on how to fi x the economy — check. I’ll stop here.

Talk with a person at church today that worked the polls in last presidential election. (it was their first time). At one table wherethe dem sat with the 'sign in' book in front of them....everytime a black person came in, this person would stand up and shout, 'we need change'!! Would then actually accompany these folks 'into' the voting booth to show them how to vote as they had NEVER voted before.....EVER.

The person telling us this story, said they went in the back where the 'overseers' were and told them what was going on. The 'overseers' just said...'look it's been a long day and it's no big deal'. The person resigned from the position right on the spot.

Let's be clear....this person didn't care who voted for who.....IT IS AGAINST VOTING REGULATION TO HAVE SOMEONE GO INTOTHE VOTING BOOTH WITH ANYONE!!

And may I also add that this person is a newly (5yrs) legal immigrant who is 'still' taking college courses on american history!!

TRUE STORY!

Raising Taxes on Rich Seen as Good for Economy, Fairness

A new Pew Research poll finds that by two-to-one (44% to 22%), the public says that raising taxes on incomes
above $250,00o would help the economy rather than hurt it, while 24% say this would not make a difference.

Moreover, an identical percentage (44%) says a tax increase on higher incomes would make the tax system
more fair, while just 21% say it would make the system less fair.
