Why only gifts for birthday's, anniversaries and weddings?  How about baptisms, holy communions, and bar mitzvah's?

Let your friends know how much of a communist you are by refusing gifts for such an individualist ceremony like a birthday, anniversary and wedding in exchange for donations to the party leader of the collective state.

OBAMA CAMPAIGN: TELL YOUR WEDDING GUESTS TO SEND US MONEY
by BEN SHAPIRO  22 Jun 2012 731

Just when you thought the Obama campaign couldn’t get any more desperate, they come up with this: the Obama Event Registry, asking supporters who are getting married, having a birthday, or celebrating an anniversary to direct gift-givers to Obama’s re-election website:
Got a birthday, anniversary, or wedding coming up?
Let your friends know how important this election is to you—register with Obama 2012, and ask for a donation in lieu of a gift. It’s a great way to support the President on your big day. Plus, it’s a gift that we can all appreciate—and goes a lot further than a gravy bowl.
Setting up and sharing your registry page is easy--so get started today.
Yesterday, Michelle Obama suggested that Americans give her husband money because he once shoveled snow around her car. He was apparently a husband to us all. Now, the Obama campaign is telling us that if we get remarried, we ought to send the gifts to our presidential ex. (Clearly, the Obama campaign also does not like gravy bowls. Perhaps they should try gravy boats. Those are far more popular.)
This is truly insulting. Young couples have been the folks hardest hit by the Obama economy; unemployment rate among the young is at all-time highs. Yet Obama suggests that we should send money not to those couples, but to the campaign of the man who has put them on the bread lines.
When you click through to the Obama Event Registry, the Obama campaign informs you just why you should send Obama money rather than having grandma buy you that crockpot:
Got a special milestone or event coming up?
Instead of another gift card you’ll forget to use, ask your friends and family for something that will go a little further: a donation to Obama for America. Register your next celebration—whether it’s a birthday, bar or bat mitzvah, wedding, or anniversary—with the Obama campaign. It’s a great way to show your support for a cause that’s important to you on your big day.
Because Obama and his potential $1 billion campaign can use the money better than you ever could. Your special day should be his special day............................>>>>...........................>>>>....................http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/06/22/Obama-wedding-registry

Obama even more despotic than FDR

So it’s “The Emperor Barack I?”
In years past, there was a belief by many that FDR, in the throes of the Depression, took on temporary “dictatorial powers” to try to deal more directly, and quickly, with all the problems.
The evidence seems to be that some high-placed advisers (and some highminded journalists) urged him to be granted such powers; but he was not willing to go that far. That was not what he felt the nation needed.
Not so the new FDR: He’s granting it to himself, little by little, every month.
A better comparison may be not FDR, but Napoleon, who famously crowned himself “emperor.” A little “Elba experience” may be what he needs, too.

Abound Solar to Suspend Operations, Will Seek Bankruptcy
By Christopher Martin and Jim Snyder on June 28, 2012

Abound Solar Inc., a U.S. solar manufacturer that was awarded a $400 million U.S. loan guarantee, will suspend operations and file for bankruptcy because its panels were too expensive to compete.

Abound borrowed about $70 million against the guarantee, the Loveland, Colorado-based company said today in a statement. It plans to file for bankruptcy protection in Wilmington, Delaware, next week.

The failure will follow that of Solyndra LLC, which shut down in August after receiving a $535 million loan guarantee from the same U.S. Energy Department program. Abound stopped production in February to focus on reducing costs after a global oversupply and increasing competition from China drove down the price of solar panels by half last year.

“Aggressive pricing actions from Chinese solar-panel companies have made it very difficult for an early stage startup company like Abound to scale in current market conditions,” the company said in the statement.

U.S. taxpayers may lose $40 million to $60 million on the loan after Abound’s assets are sold and the bankruptcy proceeding closes, Damien LaVera, an Energy Department spokesman, said in a statement today.  http://www.businessweek.com/ne.....greentech-media-says

Obama wrong to ignore laws that he happens to dislike

President Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder and Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, like all other elected offi cials, took an oath prior to being sworn into office to uphold the laws of our nation and our Constitution. Clearly their vow to do so only applies if they like the law!
Rather than enforce the laws of our nation, they waste untold millions with lawsuits against states in many areas including right-to-work, immigration, voter identification, health care, and the Defense of Marriage Act, just to name a few.
Further, their disregard for our national security through intelligence leaks and defense cuts is disgusting. In addition, the administration’s disregard for the legislative process is at best disingenuous.
If you do not like the law, then responsible citizens work through the legislative process to change it. But, no — Obama and his administration just ignore it, and do what they want through bureaucratic policy edicts.
Their latest action to ignore a unanimous Supreme Court decision to uphold a portion of the Arizona immigration law, by immediately stopping a cooperative and successful program with Arizona law enforcement for determining the immigration status of individuals stopped for other violations, is particularly appalling and childish.
In addition, they have set up a hotline for reporting perceived civil rights violations by Arizona law enforcement. Again, Obama and his administration are working against the nation and its laws.
God help us if this man is re-elected in November!

Obama to Soldiers: Pay Up
Threatens to veto bill unless it hikes health care fees for service members
Ap
BY: Washington Free Beacon Staff - June 29, 2012 10:22 am

The Obama administration on Friday threatened to veto a defense appropriations bill in part because it does not include higher health care fees for members of the military.

“The Administration is disappointed that the Congress did not incorporate the requested TRICARE fee initiatives into either the appropriation or authorization legislation,” the White House wrote in an official policy statement expressing opposition to the bill, which the House approved in May.

President Obama’s most recent budget proposal includes billions of dollars in higher fees for members of TRICARE, the military health care system, and is part of the administration’s plan to cut nearly $500 billion from the Pentagon’s budget.

Some fear the administration’s proposal is an effort to increase enrollment in the state-run insurance exchanges mandated under the president’s controversial health care law.

The administration urged the House to “reconsider” to fee increase, arguing they are “essential for DOD to successfully address rising personnel costs.”

The House bill has significant bipartisan support, and easily passed by a margin of 299 to 120.

Exclusive: President Obama Asks Campaign Donors to Send Him More Money
In an anxious conference call from Air Force One, Obama asked campaign donors to send more money. Lloyd Grove obtained the tape and describes the presidential pitch.

by Lloyd Grove  | June 30, 2012 6:40 PM EDT

President Obama sounded weary and maybe a tad worried late Friday during a rambling conference call with campaign donors whom he repeatedly begged to send money—and send it now.

“The majority on this call maxed out to my campaign last time. I really need you to do the same this time,” the president said in a highly unusual (and presumably legal) fundraising pitch from Air Force One on his way back to Washington from Colorado Springs, where he’d been assessing the terrible damage caused by uncontained wildfires. A special phone on the government aircraft is dedicated to political calls that are paid for by the campaign.

“I’m asking you to meet or exceed what you did in 2008,” the presidential pitchman continued, speaking to donors who were invited to dial in based on their contributions during the last election. “Because we’re going to have to deal with these super PACs in a serious way. And if we don’t, frankly I think the political [scene] is going to be changed permanently. Because the special interests that are financing my opponent’s campaign are just going to consolidate themselves. They’re gonna run Congress and the White House.”

The president’s 18-minute pleading—a recording of which was provided to The Daily Beast by an Obama contributor—hardly sounded like a man doing a victory lap after Thursday’s Supreme Court ruling upholding Obamacare, as the Affordable Care Act has come to be known. Or, for that matter, like a candidate who has been beating his Republican opponent in recent polls of key battleground states.

Rather, Obama sounded like a dog-tired idealist forced to grapple painfully with hard reality. “In 2008 everything was new and exciting about our campaign,” Obama said. “And now I’m the incumbent president. I’ve got gray hair. People have seen disappointment because folks had a vision of change happening immediately. And it turns out change is hard, especially when you’ve got an obstructionist Republican Congress.”

But lest any of his donors believe the president sounded depressed, Obama quickly added: “Nevertheless, we’ve gotten more done in the last three years than most presidents do in eight years … I just hope you guys haven’t become disillusioned. I hope all of you still understand what’s at stake and why this is so important … I still believe in you guys, and I hope you still believe in me and the possibilities of this campaign.”

“The special interests that are financing my opponent’s campaign are just going to consolidate themselves. They’re gonna run Congress and the White House.”

In his most detailed assessment of the race so far, Obama lamented the cash advantage of Republican nominee-designate Mitt Romney, but offered hope that he could win reelection with a superior ground game and a more popular message. “We don’t have to match these guys dollar for dollar because we’ve got a better grassroots operation and we’ve got a better message,” he said. “The American people—the nice thing is they agree with our message when they hear it. We just can’t be drowned out … A few billionaires can’t drown out millions of voices.”...............................>>>>...........................>>>>..................http://www.thedailybeast.com/a.....ore-money.print.html

Obama must have talked to some people who feel he's done enough damage to the country and they want a real change.

Government Motors: As GM shares near record low, taxpayer loss on bailout rises to $35 billion

To quote Lando Calrissian, this deal's getting worse all the time.

General Motors(GM) shares fell to a fresh 2012 closing low of 19.57 on Monday. The stock hit 19 in mid-December, the lowest since the auto giant came public at $33 in November 2010 following its June 2009 bankruptcy.

Normally you might say, tough luck investors. But this is Government Motors. The Treasury still owns 26.5% of GM, or 500 million shares. Taxpayers are still out $26.4 billion in direct aid. Shares would have to hit $53 for the government to break even.

Those shares were worth about $9.8 billion as of Monday. That would leave taxpayers with a loss of $16.6 billion.

But that's not the full tally. Obama let GM keep $45 billion in past losses to offset future profits. Those are usually wiped out or slashed, along with debts, in bankruptcy. But the administration essentially gifted $45 billion in write-offs (book value $18 billion) to GM. So when GM earned a $7.6 billion profit in 2011 (more on that below), it paid no taxes.

Include that $18 billion gift, and taxpayers' true loss climbs to nearly $35 billion.

Of course, there's no chance that the Obama administration will sell off its GM stake before Election Day. That would force Obama to recognize actual losses, which would remind voters that the bailout was a massive transfer from taxpayers to unions.

This must be a right-wing report.  I mean, even I, as a "rabid republican and a Negative Nayboob of Negativity know that when you invest in the stock market and you make the purchase of stock, you don't really lose any money until the stock is either null and void or until the day you sell, and then AND ONLY THEN is when you can calculate your gain or loss.

That being said, what do I see happening?  Well, either Congress will hold on to the stock and continue to pressure the company to do what they want, or we will hear of the wonderful success of the selling off of the shares, even if they aren't up to the value that they were purchased at, the media will announce the great success of the sale, without telling exactly how much it actually cost the citizens as far as carrying costs and the difference between the purchase and sale prices.

HERO GENERAL: OBAMA FOLLOWING CASTRO'S PLAN
'The things done in every Marxist insurgency are being done in America today'

Published: 2 days ago
by DREW ZAHNE

Retired Lt. Gen. William G. “Jerry” Boykin, a decorated former Delta Force commander, U.S. deputy undersecretary of defense for intelligence and Purple Heart recipient, explained in the video a six-step plan used by revolutionaries to bring about Marxism elsewhere and drew parallels to Obama’s actions in the U.S.

Boykin’s warning resounds eerily today in particular, as the nation is reeling from the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold a massive federal overhaul of health care and on the anniversary of Obama’s pledge to establish a “national civilian security force” – two events Boykin warned were markers of a “Marxist insurgency” in other nations.

“We hear a lot about Marxism and socialism, and there are those, particularly in the media, who would say that we should ‘tone down our rhetoric’ about socialism because ‘we’re not moving to socialism,’” Boykin states in the video. “Well, The reality is … I’ve studied Marxist insurgency. It was part of my training. And the things I know that have been done in every Marxist insurgency are being done in America today.”

Boykin laid out a step-by-step plan he says is the model of how Fidel Castro instituted Marxism in Cuba, Mao Zedong in China, Stalin in Russia and Hugo Chavez in Venzeula:

Nationalize major sectors of the economy
Redistribute wealth
Discredit opposition
Censors opposing viewpoints
Control gun ownership
Develop a constabulary force to control civilian population

Boykin then illustrates how each of these steps have begun to materialize in the U.S.: From a form of “nationalization” through government bailouts, to “hate crime” legislation aimed at silencing the pulpits, to the federal government labeling tea partiers and veterans returning from overseas as potential domestic terrorists, to efforts underway to get the U.S. on board with a United Nations small arms treaty, which would regulate private gun ownership.

Boykin takes particular aim at Obama’s Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, which he says federal administrators have already admitted is a wealth-redistribution plan (step No. 2) and he says includes within its 1,000 pages plans for national security forces at the president’s disposal, akin to national police forces socialist tyrants like Adolf Hitler used to complete their revolutions.

Specifically, Boykin alluded to a speech Obama made four years ago today, in Colorado Springs, Colo., on July 2, 2008, in which he pledged to establish a “civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded [as the U.S. military].”...................................>>>>.......................>>>>.......................http://www.wnd.com/2012/07/hero-general-obama-following-castros-plan/
