This election had lots of parallels to 2004. The people that voted for Romney did it because they hated Obama, not because they wanted Romney, much the same as the Kerry voters casting ballots because they hated GWB... When you have the "lets get this bum out" dynamic without a candidate people are enthusiastic for, it's almost impossible to win.

If you're a Romney Supporter who plans on keeping your promises, here's a tip on traffic and immigration:

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Romney Was Sure Of Victory

Mitt Romney was "shells hocked" at losing the presidential race.

"They thought intensity and enthusiasm were on their side this time -- poll after poll showed Republicans
were more motivated to vote than Democrats - and that would translate into votes for Romney. As a result,
they believed the public/media polls were skewed -- they thought those polls oversampled Democrats and
didn't reflect Republican enthusiasm. They based their own internal polls on turnout levels more favorable
to Romney. That was a grave miscalculation, as they would see on election night."

Said the adviser: "We went into the evening confident we had a good path to victory. I don't think there
was one person who saw this coming."

Another staffer added: "There's nothing worse than when you think you're going to win, and you don't. It
was like a sucker punch."

(I once read universal rules of combat that apply in all cases.  One of the 'rules' was not to believe your
own Propaganda.  It appears Romney ignored the facts and relied on reports that originated in his own
propaganda.)

Mitt Romney Would Have Won If Republicans 'Were Self-Aware At All'

"Mitt Romney could have easily won the presidential election if he and his party had realized that they were turning people off, according to Matt Taibbi.

"If they were self-aware at all, Mitt Romney would probably be president right now," Taibbi wrote in a blog post
for Rolling Stone late Thursday.

He argued that Republicans' message about financial responsibility could resonate with a lot of people, but
unfortunately it is a cover for their belief that women and minorities are "parasites."

Modern Republicans "have so much of their own collective identity wrapped up in the belief that they're
surrounded by free-loading, job-averse parasites who not only want to smoke weed and have recreational
abortions all day long, but want hardworking white Christians like them to pay the tab," Taibbi wrote.
"Their whole belief system...is inherently insulting to everyone outside the tent – and you can't win
votes when you're calling people lazy, stoned moochers."

The Romney Horse IS dead.  The next horses are approaching the starting gate.  If the GOP keeps making
the same mistakes, the next horse won't be any better than the last one.

I support Democrats most of the time, but I do want a choice, and Romney like candidates are no
choice.

The GOP used to stand for something besides bigotry and guns.  I'd like to see it get back to the party
of good fiscal management and ideas.

Know what I want?

I want the GOP controlled Congress to vote for everything the Dems put up. I want it to be like 2008 all over again.

Oh the GOP will.......they have no choice this time around. I'd give the liberal progressive every single thing they want.......EVERYTHING! It's what the majority voted for!!

I truly think the Reps and all the 1%'ers (INCLUDING OBAMBAS CAMP) never wanted a winner....this 'jesus-type president'
is expiation while we all sit here and b*tch....

why?

because everything and I mean EVERYTHING we know is about to change 10fold....

1. how trade is done
2. how healthcare is valued/delivered
3. how value to homes is applied
4. how value to $$ is applied
5. how the system that manipulates our $$ is used
6. how technology influences our 'feel safe now' mood
7. how technology will make us punitive toward eachother
8. how our food/water is delivered/tracked/monitored
9. how our taxes are measured/valued/tracked/used
etc etc etc....

pay attention...this stupid shortsighted conversation of party differences is moot....

from the schoolhouse to the jailhouse we make criminals....welcome to America don't forget to vote and get your shots

America is orange....A clockwork orange

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
