So will rems support kevin for town board, like kevin supported rems and perhaps may even get a job with rems since he has the 'expertise', as he stated, in medical billing?

First, to set the record straight, yes, I did look for a job with REMS in their biling office, to help to reduce their financial issues. I did submit my resume, unrequested by the company, and was never interviewed.
Also, as far as supporting me in a run for town board, I would not expect them to come to support me, and anyway, I have decided NOT to run for office this year.
I have decided, instead, that I will see what I can do to help to turn things around in the party at this time, possibly at the level of a committeeperson in the next elections for that position. This does not, however, mean that I will never run for office, and, in fact, may look at it in a couple years.

And since rotterdam is known to be historically a gumba family and friends quaint little town, and since Kevin was first AGAINST A REMS TAXING DISTRICT, then after talking with TD, surprisingly changed his mind FOR THE TAXING DISTRICT.....while inner twined in all this, Kevin loses his job and offers rems his 'paid' medical billing services.
I think we can all agree that it would appear that Kevin would just be 'old rotterdam politics as usual'!!! Ya know....tit for tat!! I'll scratch your back and you scratch mine.

You can "just say" anything you want, but the fact is that my decision to change my mind on the taxing district had nothing to do with my conversation with any one person. It had to do with many conversations with many people, and had nothing to do with the fact that I was or wasn't looking for employment at the time of the vote.
If that's how you feel, then fine, but I am one that will consider each decision at any time on how it would affect the townspeople, not just how it would affect myself, especially as there have been times that I have gone to the podium to speak on issues that had absolutely no affect on any aspect of my life, but I saw how they would affect others, and though I would speak on the merits for / against issues as I thought others would see them, whether they were able to come to the meetings to voice their opinions or not.
...and unlike almost everybody (except those that are never wrong, I guess like certain people who post on this board under names that they can't be identified by or tied to in the real world), I make mistakes, and am willing to admit to them. REMS is not the first thing I have been wrong on, and it may not be the last thing ever that I am wrong on, but at least I listen to the issues and make a decision based on the facts that are brought to the table, not just along party lines. I won't vote how somebody tells me I should just because they say I should. I listen to the arguments and give validity when it is there, sifting out the BS.

Too bad. You should reconsider. Your fiscal knowledge would have been a help to the town and to the REMS! And then there were three. Does anyone know where Dr. Tomaselli attended medical school? Did he go locally to Albany Med and do his residency at Ellis/St. Clares?
Well, like I said, this will not mean that you won't see me on a ballot in the future, but right now is not the right time. There will be a time, maybe in a couple of years.
Dr. Tomaselli went to Union College, graduating in 2001 with a degree in Biology, then went on to study to be a Doctor of Chiropractic at NY Chiropractic, graduating in 2004. This was after being a graduate from Mohonasen in 1997.
Kevin that is really sad news. You would have made fine board member... Hopefully you change your mind or at least decide to run in the future!
Stick around. We'll make things better. As I have always said, anyone who wants to come out from behind their screen names to me, through a PM, I will keep their identities private, but I do look forward to working together with ALL to make things better in town.
KM, I think the residents are going to be looking for a consistent political philosophy from the next person on the Republican ticket. The Dems have their people voting lockstep with them. Dems can run Bugs Bunny for office, those registered Dem zombies will walk in and pull the lever for him(Just look at FDG as example). If a Republican plans on winning, they need to get off the fence and stop the with the professorial pragmatic flip flopping. DEMS WILL NEVER VOTE FOR YOU!! The non party affiliated voter(which is who Republicans need) is looking for a clear and articulated governing philosophy. The case by case basis style of town government and "listening to each argument" is what we've had for 40 years, hence no comp plan and non stop cronyism. People want vision and direction. People want to feel comfortable that when the town if faced with an issue, they can feel confident what your decision will be. They don't want to go to EVERY Town Board meeting to see what your decision will be and have to hold your feet to the fire. Nobody cares if an outcome is wrong if your decision was principled and consistent with your philosophy. But when you admit to being wrong when moving away from your philosophy, that won't get people off the couch to vote for you(Or anybody else running as a Republican). IMHO
