First...by the time 2020 rolls around, rotterdam will be mainly section 8 housing with a vacancy rate that will match the city of schenectady. Taxes will be sky high with a crime rate to match. Rotterdam is presently reminiscent of the city. In less then a year, the democons have built a new gin mill, there are empty store fronts, houses for sale everywhere, obvious blight, increased crime and a 2nd Hamilton Hill aka Mt.Pleasant just a few blocks off altamont Ave that is already impacting the town. Not to mention the cadillac escalades with privacy windows that are patrolling the streets looking for potential 'buyers'! Keep voting those democons in!!!!

Nah......there will be no new park in rotterdam!
rotterdam is a partial sh!thole now. By 2020 it will be a TOTAL SH!THOLE!! Just look at how well the city is doing.

Obviously KR struck a nerve with somebody.  I don't think BT is KR, I'm pretty sure KR is Gadfly, and she doesn't hide behind it.  My understanding of KR is that she hides behind nothing and pretty much puts herself out there.  It is very unlikely that BT is KR.  One thing for sure is, Raspy is a Town of Rotterdam parasite that has been used to acting with impunity and doesn't like having to defend or explain the cronyism and corruption that is Rotterdam Town Hall.

Keep up the pressure Kelly...It's like you turned on the lights and the cockroaches are scattering.

funny ain't it....how KR exposes the rotterdam rems tax increase scam.....exposes the rotterdam fraudulent awol town clerk scam and the 'friends and family club' are calling her the 'bad guy'!!!! OMG!

So this just goes to prove that the democons were in fact supporting a 'tax hike' and were supporting a fraudulent awol town clerk at $50+K/year...all at the taxpayer's expense!

It would be laughable if it wasn't so pathetically sad!

Will the real John Mertz please stand up? These DEM idiots see Mertzie, Bumble and KR behind every rock and tree. Thankfully, some peeps still put the fear of God into them.

Coincidentally I noticed that Bumblethru and Cicero became members on the same day. The first day of the blog. John Mertz has told me he is not bumblethru for what its worth. Brian McGarry wants no part of Kelly Rhinesmith. She has turned on everyone she once befriended.  Brad wants her out as do many behind the scenes pols who embraced KR at another time.

I have heard of a potential lawsuit being slapped on her, restraining orders and indictments. Can anyone verify? The mother abuse has many of her friends concerned for Marie.

The way she attacked Eunice shows her total disrespect for elders. Sad.

It would be a wonderful place for the socialist progressive tax and spend liberal democons. Discounting, discrediting and calling the american citizens scum for questioning, disagreeing and voicing their concerns with their government is shameful, unamerican and borders on communism/nazism.  I recall that it was Hitler who also though the world would be a better place with out the jewish scum!!! How did that work out for the nazis???

Look, if you think taxpayer's money would be well spent on a new park in rotterdam......well have at it!!! I, and many many others think that is absurd and wasteful at best. Many others believe there are much BIGGER fish to fry then wasting money and energy on a damn park. That is my opinion and the opinion of many others. Personally, I don't think it will ever come to fruition.

So do you want to send me to the labor camps and after a year of so, gas me to death for voicing my opinion??? dimwit

Any I am MERTZIE!!!! come on, I'll take the honor!!

Ozzie, for your information, this site used to be located at RotterdamNY.info, before being moved to RotterdamNY.net. The date you are referring to as far as them becoming members would be the date they became members of this new site, so it would make sense for two people, een if they ARE different people, to become members on the same date.  That kind of thing happens.  Would you consider it a coincidence that Barack Obama became President on the same day that Joe Biden became Vice President?  And at the same "site?"  Things just happen some times.  Maybe it's just a conspiracy.

Oh,,,,It is a conspiracy....a conspiracy for the promotion of the independence of a person without the strapping on of the government....and those who need to pull up their bootstraps, wondering who/what pulled the rug out from under them even after they voted for them, can plug away their
distaste of the bitter drink served by out elected here on this forum.......

And I always thought you were the 50 year old virgin, just uglier.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

I have just gotten back to town from a nice cross country vacation --- while I was gone -- the town was hit with earthquakes, hurricanes, floods and tornadoes.  The most important thing is that everyone is alive and safe .. property can be fixed or replaced but human lives are irreplaceable.

A few people have messaged me about Woestina Park.  I have not yet had an opportunity to access the damage first hand .. but I understand that it was a complete loss.  I will be out there as soon as I can .. either Thursday or Friday.

Let me assure everyone -- especially the Challenger League -- that we will do whatever it takes to restore the park and make it even better.   Our next Parks Commission meeting will focus on what we need to to do to fix that park.

I was asked about the BOA Study and whether grant money could help rebuild Rotterdam Junction.

Since the BOA Study has done all of the preliminary studies and allows the town to enter Phase 3 which is implementation -----  I would say YES .... grant money could be used to help rebuild Rotterdam Junction.

There are elements of the study report that address redoing Route 5S  (slowing traffic, adding sidewalks and bike paths and lighting),  installing a sewer system along Main Street with the capacity to eventually add tie-ins from side streets  and  facade improvements for commercial and residential buildings.   Also proposals for land use and zoning language .. etc.

It does include proposals for Bicentennial Park including cleaning up and historically preserving the old Erie Canal lock --------------- my feeling is that we must work on the homes and businesses FIRST ... but we can still continue - simultaneously -  to seek funding for the new park.

By the way --  tell all the folks in Rotterdam Junction and throughout the town -- to mark their calendars for the first Saturday in August  -- August 4, 2012 -- for the 2nd Annual Rotterdam Summer Community Day.      We will celebrate our community and all funds raised will go to improve Woestina Park and Kiwanis Park which were badly damaged by the flood.
