The BOA Study of Rotterdam Jct is winding up -- a fine presentation was made at the Town Board meeting on Wednesday night.    The final report is due to the Town Board this summer  -- and after the Town Board acts onthe report -- we should begin seeing steps taken to implement its recommendations.

A major part of its recommendations include the "Bicentennial Park" proposal which would improve State Canal Corp lands around Woestina Park, the old "Bonded Concrete site" and the area around the old Erie Canal lock --- along with a variety of improvements to the  Mohawk-Hudson Bike-Hike trail through and around the Junction.

A general use town park has been the dream of every administration for at least 2 decades -- the dream is very close to becoming a reality.

OK, fine, then YOU pay for YOUR SOCIALIST programs.   The taxpayers CANNOT afford it now.

Of course, living off the taxpayer dole, you don't have a clue.  Guess people have to explain to you.   We have homes., we have our mortgages to pay for, our escrows are increasing because taxes are increasing to pay for NON-ESSENTIAL parks and bike trails.   Gas is skyrocketing.  Food prices have increased.  Health insurace premiums are rising AND the co-pays are going up fast.   Interest on savings is almost non-existent, investments are not providing much return.

Virtually everything that is an absolute necessity is increasing in cost.   A park and bike trail are NOT a necessity.  NO ONE ON THIS EARTY is going to die without having these stupid socialist projects

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

If it creates jobs and makes  Rotterdam Junction a  destination for consumers  --  I would applaud anyone who opened a business in the Junction and would  love to see them get as much help as they need from Metroplex and other government entities.

The park and the other improvements proposed for the Junction will happen ...  there are millions of dollars of public and private grants being lined up.     The cost to Rotterdam taxpayers will be kept to a minimum -- since the town already owns most of the land that the park will be on .. and the state canal corp owns the rest of it.

A certain naysayer is shooting off his/her mouth when he/she is incredibly uninformed  .. more than just his-her normal ignorance level.

You know what, you're right that I am mistaken....I misread your comment, so my reply doesn't apply.
However, it was not an attack on you, it was a statement made in response to a comment I have just admitted misreading.

Yeah, until DV got involved with pretending he knows anything about business, there were no businesses in the Junktion, ever.

There will never be a new park in rotterdam. By the time this 'dream' ever comes to fruition, rotterdam will be just like the city.

Leave KR. If you don't like it get out . You are a misersble, tortured soul who beats her mother. You should be in jail or therapy. Trust me one is coming.  You are on a slash and burn mission that is getting ugly.

Do you have any friends?  Your own mother hates your guts. At least that's what their saying at the donut shop.

I guess you were not aware that one of the reasons that it was difficult -  if not impossible - for NEW businesses to locate in Rotterdam Junction are the numerous environmental regulations added in recent years -- regulations that make it practically impossible to build any new commercial and residential buildings in the most sensitive part of the aquifer recharge area --which is pretty much most of Main St in the south east part of the hamlet,

The buildings in Rotterdam Junction and the businesses located in them were built/established BEFORE the many new regulations .. and thus were "grandfathered" in.

That is why the B.O.A. Study is so crucial --- it has taken out a number of the regulatory hurdles --- thus opening the door for   environmentally appropriate NEW businesses to at least occupy EXISTING buildings ...

it would be nice if the Nattering Nayboobs actually EDUCATED THEMSELVES on topics before making their stupid comments.

I am willing to bet that their will be a new park in Rotterdam by 2020 --- in fact -- besides Bicentennial Park .. ipredict there will be some new pocket parks and even a dog park.

Obviously KR struck a nerve with somebody.  I don't think BT is KR, I'm pretty sure KR is Gadfly, and she doesn't hide behind it.  My understanding of KR is that she hides behind nothing and pretty much puts herself out there.  It is very unlikely that BT is KR.  One thing for sure is, Raspy is a Town of Rotterdam parasite that has been used to acting with impunity and doesn't like having to defend or explain the cronyism and corruption that is Rotterdam Town Hall.

Keep up the pressure Kelly...It's like you turned on the lights and the cockroaches are scattering.
