But didn't ND add the proposed 2011 collected als $$$$ to the budget? And didn't she say that it would cover the attorney expenses that they hired at the midnight hour?

So now there is NO als money coming into the rotterdam coffers. And you can be that rotterdam taxes will be increased next year to cover the short fall and ND will be blamed for it.

So instead of kissing FDG's a$$, why isn't she screaming for the contract so they can start collecting the als $$$$?

Only in rotterdam!!!!!! Poor bastards!

Yes BT...ND included a projected 100K in the amended budget...and it looks like it was a safe one, given the estimated losses in the
first quarter of this year....but that has been one of the motives in delaying the ems contract issue...WC, TJ and, originally FDG were
trying to derail that budget by prolonging the ems issue with the hope there would be a shortfall...nevermind they are doing this at
the expense of the residents. ND understands the critical need to resolve the issue and I have reason to believe that FDG may
finally be getting it too...you conveniently forget that ND needs two supporting votes to move this agenda...or any other.

If there is any tax increase imposed next year it will have nothing to do with ALS or ND...the Town has NEVER collected any ALS
money...the only reason this is now part of the discussion is because of the recent revelations about REMS keeping all of that
money...no one wanted to even address it when this tax district nightmare started....when the no-brainer private option offered
from the beginning included ALS reimbursement....everyone who knew anything about it, which wasn't many back then, had to
just assume that, unbelievably, the ALS revenue was foolishly being forfeited in favor of moving forward with a tax scheme...while
it is anyone's guess as to how long REMS and their formerly volunteer squads were doing the same....does anyone believe that
REMS just suddenly realized they could collect this money under the radar? Some predecessor or another must have known the
process well enough to carry this out...and made sure the next knew how to carry on.

Why would you write and pass a budget that reflect funds that were NEVER collected?  In a conservative budget, wouldn't you air on the side of caution and not speculate on uncollected funds?

Because we have always known the potential for ALS reimbursement...which has steadily risen over the years since the tax
discussion began....which was when this potential income was first made known, through Mohawk's original proposal...but
only now has REMS come forth with a tax free offer that includes ALS reimbursement because it is central to the ems contract
they now have to fight for...without an agreement to reimburse the Town they would have no chance of landing that contract.

But as I have consistently stated, IMO any consideration for a BLS contract with REMS should have been suspended based
on the ALS scam alone...if their tax scheme and disturbing history wasn't enough...and certainly should have ended when
they violated the specifically stated RFP rules that prohibited any marketing in these proposals...not that REMS submitted
anything that resembles a proposal...it's more like a gigantic sob story.

A $100K projection is a conservative estimate for revenue that now WILL be collected which, again, based on the reported
amount lost in the single month of March alone was somewhere in the area of $20K...and these figures will likely
fluctuate...but projected revenues from a variety of sources are commonly included in municipal budgets.

Also no mention of the Charter School.  Saw those people looking at the school yesterday.  My neighbor went over and asked who they were.  Of course, another Charter School nightmare ruining our neighborhood.  We are going to need some help to stop this people.  This is enough to run residents right out of the town.  How are they going to pay to heat this building for 150 kids?  Wow!  Taxpayers again. How about paying the bank millions?  Taxpayers again.  Aren't there schools in Shalmont that are closing?  I'm sure these schools are in a lot better condition then the Draper School is.  Considering it has been empty for a couple of years and a lot of the building has been vandalized.  The windows are broken and all need to be replaced.  What the hell are they thinking?  We were told the zoning was changed so that a school could not occupy that building again.  Oh that's right.  Wouldn't put this school in the elitists part of town. Just us poor folk get to put up with this crap.

Taxpayers pay for everything in public schools...charters do it with about 2/3 of the funding per pupil.

What a joke!!! Apparently the applicant and the Town Planner made the determination on the petition.  Mr DeLorenzo apparently runs this town and the town board has no problem taking their orders from him!  This is an illegal zone change, they know it is illegal, they just don't care.  Apparently it's perfectly fine to ignore the town code and zoning laws, but the residents need to interpret
the ever changing requirements of a petition and complete their task to perfection.  They shouldn't have needed a petition in the first place!!!  Someone needs to tell Mr. Calder to educate himself - it is his responsibiltiy to make a decision on a resolution based on knowledge of facts, not what he is told to do.  DO YOUR FREAKIN JOB!!!

For the record,  I did not say that the Mohonasen student who is a member of the Parks Commission was a member of the basketball team.
What I did say was that like the members of the basketball team - the young man from Mohonasen who serves on the Parks Commission represents his school well --- that all of these student reflect well on the job that the school is doing.
