Yes the fact that Amedore backstabbed the local republican party....and has done absolutely nothing while in office shouldnt matter I guiess.

The fact that Joe Suhrada wanted to run for Town, no longer county, doesnt matter.

And of course the fact that John Mertz is certifiable (which everyone knows) and sent death threats to the then local chair, none of that should matter either.

Good work Cicero, well done.

None of those rules or guidelines hold in Rotterdam.  People in Rotterdam are pretty much ---res.  They go with whoever is giving them what they want when they want it.  There is no "party" philosophy here.  They all go to the church/synagogue of "What's Happening Now" and they subscribe to the party of the same name.  The list begins--Dagostino, Vellano, Santabarbara etc etc.  Everybody leaves the Reps sooner or later because they don't have the real philosophy.  A shanda!

got it...Once you are endorsed you should be endorsed for life...doesn't matter what you do or believe you should just keep your endorsement because you were endorsed once...

Well I was responding to Greenlanterns response to Kevin.  Kevin suggested that people can find another party if they don't like the direction and people in their party.  And Greeny's response was "That doesn't sound like a the way to build a party". I was just pointing out how the Town Republcian Party when chaired by Mr. Parisi UN-ENDORSED and attacked the people HE didn't agree with and began tearing down the party(publically I might add).  So my point to Greeny was, what is good for the goose is good for the gander. Parisi just happends to now find himself on the $hit end of the stick.

Then why didn't the former chair, an attorney, file criminal charges? Stop making up wild accusations. What happened to JM was a shanda-the one number REP vote getter, the only one who would challenge Taxin Tonko, was dumped by the former REP town implosion team. The same that couldn't win town dog catcher.

^5!!

It took the countywide independent candidates to open the eyes of ALL the political parties.
Kudos to the Alliance and NNTP folks who 'listened' to the electorate!!

If you don't believe in the ideals of the party, then you should leave.  And I don't mean what the party has been doing recently, I mean what the party originally stood for, smaller, more effective government.

Actually, Abraham Lincoln - one of the founders of the Republican Party - expanded the power of the federal government --- western land grants, transcontinental railroad, held a basically anti-states rights position, etc.

What was the threat that was made GL?  I would like to know the exact words that were spoken or written so that
I can better understand the seriousness of the alleged threat.

If there was a threat made on his life, GP should have filed charges.  Otherwise, he should not have blown things
out of proportion as the reported ordeal is making him look silly.  He seems to like leveraging the press and the
courts to (attempt to) sway public opinion and to get his way.

Chicken Little cried that the "Sky is Falling" one too many times.  Others stopped listening.

Mr. pen,  you should be more sensitive.  I understand that Parisi was so scared of the "threats" that he wet his pants and that's embarrassing, but shows what a meany Mr. Mertz is.

Here is what EVERYONE in town hall knows.  Parisi was trying to pad cash lines in the budget for himself and his brother's firm.  The joke is that Parisi demands work go to his brother's firm WITHOUT a resolution!  Check the record if you don't believe it.  Then Mertz puts the cabash on the feeding hogs and Parisi throws him out on his a$$.  Who did Mertz think he was questioning a sitting chairman who controlled endorsements?  Seems to me he knew exactly what he was doing and that's why the civil war broke out in the local GOP.  JS and JS just got caught in the crossfire.  Oh, just in case anyone was wondering, NO Mertz wasn't some genius to figure that out, he was getting his info from the 3rd floor!

Then produce it. Stop making false charges. Switch parties-nobody cares. That was proven in the laughable REP Assembly primary campaign where he couldn't win a third of the vote. Chicken Little is right. Somehow Tracy and real REPS will have to muddle through without his "support".

"No action was taken by the RPD". Sounds like a real serious threat? Doesn't prove anything. Anyone can make a complaint with no follow through.
