although I didn't really get into the 'birther' thing...it could have been put down along time ago....and crap like this IS the responsibility of government, you know transparency and sh!t....shame on them for NOT putting it down like a sick dog when it was first brought up.....the plebs have EVERY RIGHT (no matter what the issue) to question their elected officials that make laws over them, for them AND against them....

Once again. Obama provided a copy of his Birth Certificate... Just like you or I would, in 2008 WHEN HE WAS A PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE! He provided all that was allowed by the State of Hawaii... just like any other citizen of Hawaii.

Right wing conspiracy buffs? It was Hilary that started it. And Obama waited until it was most politically advantageous to show the long form. He could have put it to rest with the long form 2 years ago. He was going to use it to damage the reputation of Republicans by making them look like extremist. The problem was, the birther issue was gaining traction, and he was/is losing support of seniors, so it was a calculated decision to release it now. Which I believe was earlier than he wanted.IMO

The birth certificate was never a big issue with me -- the fact that his voting record made him one of the most liberal members of the US Senate when he bothered to show up .. pretty much sunk any chance that he had of getting my vote.
