That's not a birth certificate...It's a certificate of live birth. Two completely different documents. Certificate of live birth is a hospital document, and a birth certificate is a government document. I don't know many people(if any) that still have their certificate of live birth. It's not a legally recognized document as proof of birth in the U.S.

(a) Upon application of an adult or the legal parents of a minor child, the director of health shall issue a birth certificate for such adult or minor, provided that proof has been submitted to the director of health that the legal parents of such individual while living without the Territory or State of Hawaii had declared the Territory or State of Hawaii as their legal residence for at least one year immediately preceding the birth or adoption of such child. (b) Proof of legal residency shall be submitted to the director of health in any manner that the director shall deem appropriate. Along with: "I, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, director of the Hawaii State Department of Health, have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen. "

CNN President John Klein had asked CNN researchers to dig into the question of why Obama couldn’t produce the original birth certificate. The researchers contacted the Hawaii Health Dept. and confirmed that paper documents were discarded in 2001 when the department went paperless. That reportedly includes Pres. Obama’s original birth certificate. Confounding the problem? Department Of Health head Dr. Chiyome Fukino wasn’t in office until 2002. Oops.
The Daily KOS exhibit is titled Certificate of Live Birth and it clearly states that it was created on a laser printer, which means it can’t possibly be Obama’s original birth certificate. We know this for a fact because, as Congress just acknowledged, Obama was born in 1961, many years before the very first use of laser printers in supermarket checkout machines. So it’s a duplicate document or it’s some sort of artwork; we can’t distinguish which it is with certainty. Anyone who relies on this document is indulging in faith-based politics.

Washington (CNN) – Self-proclaimed birther Donald Trump is now so doubtful of President Obama's birthplace that he's sent a team of his own investigators to Hawaii in hopes of getting to the bottom of the issue.
That's according to Trump himself, who, in an interview with NBC, warned his investigators just might uncover "one of the greatest cons in the history of politics and beyond."
"I have people that have been studying it and they cannot believe what they're finding," Trump said an interview that aired Thursday Morning.
Asked if he has assigned people specifically to search in Hawaii, Trump said, "Absolutely."
The business mogul, who in a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal Poll is tied for second place among potential presidential candidates, also suggested the president is involved in an ongoing cover-up over the matter.
"He spent $2 million in legal fees trying on to get away from this issue, and if it weren't an issue, why wouldn't he just solve it?" he said. "I wish he would because if he doesn't, it's one of the greatest scams in the history of politics and in the history, period. You are not allowed to be a president if you're not born in this country. Right now, I have real doubts."

Snopes was once a good place to start for facts and debunking hoaxes and scams - they've taken a decidedly left turn in the past 3-4 years. It's simply a husband/wife team doing the "investigating".

With a train wreck of a Presidency so far...this birth certificate controversy is a distraction. Obama would rather have people talking about his birth certificate rather than unemployment, his 3 wars, gas prices approaching record levels, Obamacare, national debt, the deficit, the budget. Birth certificate is a welcome change to the debate for Obama and the Obamabots like Box.
Does anybody find it peculiar that Trump who has a show on NBC (Obama's PR machine) now jumping on this birther bandwagon all of a sudden? It's almost as if it's contrived. Is Trump becoming the story to distract the country from the real fu(k up Obama's presidency really is?
