I was not there.  But my friend who was said the same thing.  It was sparsely attended.  As long as you continue to allow yourselves to be lead by someone who has NO vision, you are done.  The Democrats will walk away with the prize again.  Yes there was excitement in the room among the twenty who were there.  Buffardi has got this in the bag.

The voters will not care how many were in attendance at a fundraiser on election day.

They are just interested on what they are experiencing right now. Ya know.....REVITALIZE ROTTERDAM!!!

The dem-o-cons gave birth to it and the voters will remember!

The entire county will remember since they are living paying one of the highest taxes in the country in 'real time'!!

Put a fork in the dem-o-cons!!!

The Dems are getting press on doing things for the public.

LOL! You sound like Smoking/DVR. You mean doing things to the public. Like raising every tax and fee. Name one real accomplishment for the DEMS. Another bike path, another make work project for DEM lobs, another record tax increase. Had enough-YET?

Getting more useless press in the Gazetto does not amount to a hill of beans to the oppressed County taxpayer. Stop confusing motion with progress. PREDICTION: Viscusi loses-just like Denny did.

Yeah...just to win an election....something the dems do and osmething reps haven't done in a very long time. Maybe we should start taking a page out of their handbook instead of relying on this BS we are above that attitude. The reps are no better than the dems and the dems are no better than the reps...but the dems are FAR better at playing the game

I agree 100%.

Democrats have always campaigned on growing the government and creating new government programs as solutions to problems.  And Republicans have always campaigned that THEY can run these government programs better than the Democrats that created them.  NOBODY EVER ARGURES THAT THE GOVERNMENT PROGRAM IS UNECESSARY WASTE.  The local Republican Party has always been a vehicle for big government minded politicians to use as a line when they get crowded out of the Democrat party.  That's why they flip back and forth, with no real convictions, except to get elected, collect a paycheck and steer tax dollars to who you can.

People are beginning to believe that Brian M isn't that kind of politician.  The solutions to the debate needed to change, and it sounds as Brian is offering a real alternate solution to MORE GOVERNMENT.

Yup...the dems are better at it and the taxpayers are worse for it!! The tax and spend rally has hit the wall!! The taxpayers are tapped out! They can not afford yet another government hand out program that the liberal state of NY is so famous for!

The taxpayers need strong conservatives that will get a handle on the over taxation/fees that are bankrupting them. The reps sunk the dems in the last national election. I would expect this trend to continue.

Defecting to the liberal socialist side, or attempting to play the game they are so good at, isn't quite that appealing to the already overburdened  taxpayers.

The problem with the local reps was not because the dems 'are good at it'.........gp sunk and split the party. They were gaining speed until gp took control. Hopefull, for the taxpayers, that is all behind them.

If it was all gp, then thre shouldnt be any problems now that gp is nowhere to be found. this is like blaming george bush for us going to war in libya... it aint bush's fault and it aint gp's fault. everything is a cesspool...

Also the public really doesnt give a crap about your principles in town government...they want their streets paved, the potholes filled in, the streets plowed, low crime, etc... as to taxes...local governments are the one level that SHOULD be taxing...look back to your founders they wanted no federal tax because they didnt want the feds dealing with the public. local taxes = ok because its the localities that actually provide the services... i dont mind paying for my roads and schools...

You're right - the streets aren't the best, water mains always breaking, police tasing 13 year olds, and we are giving millions of dollars to BBL to build a bar/restaurant, and REMS takes hundreds of thousand of ALS money, tens of thousands for an unnecessary taxing district vote.  So a principled leader in town government is VERY important.

A great review of local affairs. And nobody gives a damn?-lol-We'll see soon enough. Stop the blame game and let's clean out the barn. 5-0 DEM is not working for anyone-even the DEMS. The DEMS have such a strong bench they are running Viscusi?

The fact of the matter is....the liberal dems have raised taxes/fees to the breaking point for created patronage jobs, lucrative government handout programs, and supporting and relocating 'private' businesses. The potholes, paved roads, snow removal, crime/safety and infrastructure has gotten little or no attention!!!!

Not a good time to be a liberal dem!!!
