Part of the PILOT agreement included a payback to the town if SI was fined by DEC. Someone in the IDA should read the fine print on that. The RCAC asked for some language that would mean SI was required to provide $$ or services to the town. In essence they mess up and DEC fines them, there is a sidewalk in Rotterdam Junction with their name on it.
Not sure how it actually was worded. SI has been in trouble with DEC many times before. Since the PILOT deal was out of our hands we asked for something from them in return.
Angelo would know because he negotiated with them.
